Lechlade is a bustling town on the River Thames and the gateway to the Cotswolds. The Barn at Lechlade sits in the grounds of Bridge House, built in Cotswold stone in the late 17th century and retaining many of it's original period charms. It has a large open plan sitting room with plenty of space to relax overlooking the beautiful gardens. The area is steeped in history and dotted with picturesque Cotswold villages to explore. Lechlade is surrounded by beautiful countryside to explore on foot or by bike on one of the many cycle routes. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing or boating on the river or book a round of golf at one of the nearby golf courses. The towns of Cirencester, Cheltenham and Oxford are all within easy reach with all they have to offer, whether it's shopping and fashion you're after or a literary or music festival or a day at the races. If it's fine dining you're after then try one of the fabulous restaurants or gastro pubs all just minutes away.

I am a fashion stylist and fitness instructor with an active and busy business and social life. I love entertaining and love sharing my gorgeous barn with guests whilst they visit the Cotswolds.
Deborah Dyer purchased this Barn in 2012
Why Deborah Dyer chose Lechlade-on-Thames
I've lived in Lechlade for years and when faced with moving I couldn't leave the area. I like being in the Cotswolds where you can experience the beautiful countryside (including walking my dogs down the Thames every morning) while still being close to Cheltenham and Oxford for that all important retail therapy.
What makes this Barn unique
On the edge of Lechlade, you'll sample the real cotswold life - peace and tranquility but with access to all the activities that come with a cotswold village by the Thames. The main town of Lechlade offers riverside pubs and quintessential village shops. Its a popular fishing location and idyllic for that afternoon roast and post meal stroll. A little further up the road Cheltenham and Oxford beckons. Shopping trips to Cheltenham can be organised or you can simply relax in comfort at the Barn. Either way, we offer a real experience you're sure to remember.

Spacious, clean, great location, friendly, fun and games at the barn to keep you entertained.
We had a great time in Lechlade. The location is very central to everything you could plan to do, From small villages to larger cities like Oxford and Bath. Numerous places to eat, cafe's, great pubs some within walking distance. Lots of good walks on the doorstep right on the River Thames.
The kids had great fun at the Barn when after a long day out we could watch them playing basketball and tennis while while relaxing with a beer or a glass of wine. All the mod cons at the barn helped with well stocked kitchen cupboards, great Wi Fi, even a piano for a totally tone deaf family to enjoy. GREAT FUN !!!!
Thanks to Deborah and family for letting us share their beautiful home.
A really wonderful place to stay for a trip to the Cotswolds.
The Barn at Lechlade offers so much and is an ideal site to tour and visit the Cotswolds.
We stayed for a short break, when my Daughter and two grand children (12 & 14) came over from the USA. The site offers a gym, net ball basket, soft ball Tennis, a football net and table tennis in a covered area, they had a great time. Deborah's a lovely host and the barn is a real treat to stay in.
Luxury and home comforts with a fabulous garden
Wish we could have stayed longer, what an amazing property. Deborah made sure every detail was covered. We loved playing games in the garden and very much hope to be back soon. Great location easy walk into lechlade and the beautiful Cotswolds.

Perfect winter holiday
What a magical place. We stayed at the barn over Christmas and it was perfect. It even snowed 2 days after Christmas! The location was brilliant with a 5 min walk into town with pubs, cafes and groceries right there. Deborah was so welcoming and the place had everything you need for a family get a way. Thank you Deborah.
