Ideal for people looking to have a real "get away", peace and solitude but only 7 Kms to shops and restaurants,15 minutes to The Valley of the Monkeys, 45 minutes to Poitiers and Angouleme, 1.5hrs to the Coast at La Rochelle, Limoges, Saintes and Cognac. There is plenty to see and do if the weather is not perfect for chilling out by your private pool.

Propriétaire très sympathique et disponible. Cependant propriété assez vetuste, propreté à revoir, de nombreux entretiens de type bricolage serait nécessaire, salle de bain très confortable et propre. Tres gentille propriétaire malheureusement cela ne fait pas tout.

Calme et repos

La propriétaire est très sympa et accueillante. Le lieu est propice au repos mais aussi à de nombreuses visites autour... Nous avons passé 2 semaines très agréables.

I have had had this home for many years and now run it in the autumn and spring as an alternative health retreat.

The Perfect Retreat has the most peaceful rural setting, sitting on top of the hill without any visible neighbours and surrounded in woodland.

I love my second home and hope you will too.

Why they chose this property

My family moved to France in 1995 to give our children a rural up-bring in the countryside, peaceful walks, safe cycling and plenty of time to enjoy our children and travel.
Now they have grown and fledged I spend a lot of time running my alternative health business and then let the property for the main summer weeks and enjoy travelling while you enjoy the peace and tranquillity of The Perfect Retreat.
The countryside is beautiful, the local French are friendly, its a bit like stepping back in time, watching the locals gather the wild mushrooms, collect the walnuts, tend their veg plots and live long an healthy lives.

What makes this property unique

Set in an acre of garden and woodland.
No Neighbours.
No Internet.
No satellite TV, just a selection of DVD's and TV Screen.
