About John and Michele Lawson
Married for 25 years with two children we have travelled extensively for pleasure and business. Hua Hin has been our annual holiday destination for more than 10 years.
John and Michele Lawson purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why John and Michele Lawson chose Hua Hin
We fell in love with Hua Hin on our first visit and knew immediately that it was a place we would come back to regularly. It has so much to offer for a holiday and is often referred to by tourist guides as the seaside resort of Bangkok, despite it being 3 hours drive. This amazing town offers a vibrant downtown night scene, great beaches, interesting night markets, the warm-hearted Thai people, the amazing low-priced food, the wonderful massages for 250 THB, but overall it's the blend of east meets west that Hua Hin delivers so well. If you want more than just a beach or pool holiday, Hua Hin is an excellent choice.
What makes this Apartment unique
We decided to buy in Khao Takiab, at the southern end of Hua Hin because we saw the area improving year on year, but mainly because it is the quieter part of town and enjoys the most natural and uncrowded beach. At that time, we had no idea how many good restaurants there were in Takiab itself. We selected The Seacraze condo for its fabulous pool, and great location close to the beach, restaurants, and green buses.

Great place for a holiday
A clean, well equipped and spacious apartment in a large complex with a superb pool and within walking distance of two beaches and a small number of restaurants. Easy to get into Hua Hin, by taxi or Baht bus, with a wider choice of restaurants and bars.
We will return
Nice apartment with an amazing swimming pool. Quiet location but close to two beaches and a number of restaurants. Easy to get into Hua Hin on the Baht Bus (Somtel). Very friendly and helpful owner.
Great apartment, helpful hosts.
Stayed here for 12 nights with our kids - ideal for what we wanted. A nice apartment with decent sized rooms (king and twin beds) and a good view out to the sea. Excellent location - close to the beach, plenty of restaurants (but avoid Airspace opposite) and 5 minute walk to the bus into town. A real plus is the huge pool in the complex which was never crowded. Good communication with John via email and easy access to the apartment on arrival. Thoroughly recommended.
Best equipped place we've stayed. Good location-near restaurants and beach. Staff were very helpful.
Will make positive comments on VRBO. Will recommend you to others.
LaGrappa restaurant downtown was excellent!.
The other restaurant we really liked was about 2 blocks down-old Thai lady and her waitress spoke quite good English.
Modern apartment with a fabulous pool
My friend and I wanted somewhere to chill out for a couple of weeks before touring Vietnam and Laos. This proved to be the perfect choice. The apartment has two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms (so no fighting over rooms!) and great views of the sea. The Seacraze pool is just amazing - the largest we have ever seen - and we've seen a few. The Seacraze apartments are very well run and easy to stay in - good lifts and this apartment is particularly well located on the top floor with outward looking views. Also quiet.
We got very fond of a couple of the restaurants just across the road. Very friendly and with delicious Thai food. But if you crave bright lights it is very easy to catch a taxi into Hua Hin and the delights of the night market. And the nearest beach turns out to be really quite unspoilt, but with sun beds and one very good restaurant in particular.
We would certainly stay there again.
Great apartment, lovely pool, right across from convenience store and easy transport in to Hua Hin
The Seacraze condo is literally 5 minutes walk from Khao Takiab beach, considered the quietest and best bay in the Hua Hin area. The beach is lined with small restaurants offering Thai and European food. Each restaurant has sunbeds to attract customers, they are either free or carry a nominal charge if you eat or drink. So you have a beautiful beach, sunbed, sunshade, great food, waiter service drinks - what more could you want! Jet-ski, horse-riding, & market sellers complete the package.
Hua Hin is 240 Km from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) which takes just under 3 hours in a taxi and costs 2,000 Baht each way. We can arrange or recommend firms to you. Whilst car hire is easy from BKK, those unfamiliar with the route are advised to hire in Hua Hin. A car is not necessary for simply getting to and from Hua Hin but is recommended is you wish to travel to neighbouring area or attractions. Local taxi's are everywhere and not expensive.
Seacraze is just 7 kms south of the centre of this bustling seaside town. Getting to Hua Hin is easy. Songtaews (or ‘Baht buses’) are the cheapest method to take, costing 10 baht to and from central Hua Hin. These Green ‘buses’ leaves every 10 mins from the Police Station just 3 minutes walk from The Seacraze. They drop you in the middle of the famous night market, or at Market Village for indoor shopping and eating. Tuk-Tuks (bike taxis) ply the route for around 100-200 Baht (£4.00) each way.
Hua Hin is a favourite year-round beach resort for both Thai and foreign visitors situated just 3 hours drive from Bangkok airport. It is the only beach holiday destination in Thailand where a second internal flight is not needed. Hua Hin has retained its traditional charm without the wild nightlife found in other resorts, yet it has developed all the modern facilities required by visitors with an excellent choice of luxury hotels, and a staggering choice of restaurants. Hua Hin's climate is perfect, with lots of sunny days and comparatively low rainfall.
The more energetic can enjoy golf, elephant & horse riding, water sports, quad bikes or mountain biking or a day at the waterpark. There are 2 water parks to choose from, the newest being very close to the apartment and is said to be one of the largest in Asia. Less active pursuits include the buzzing night markets offering a wealth of fashion items and Thai crafts, a visit to the National Park, a relaxing spa treatment, or a wander round the many temples.
All visitors must experience the bustling night market in Hua Hin, and the Cicada craft market (weekends only). A modern shopping mall called Market Village (with Tesco Lotus) offers everything for the shopaholic and those missing the Western comforts like Macdonalds, PizzaHut, and Starbucks.
There are two Family Mart shops (7-11 type) within a hundred yards of The Seacraze, providing everything for your day to day needs.
Car and motorcycle rental is readily available, together with banking and currency exchange.
