A wonderful introduction to England and its history
The converted barn is first class accomodation in a historic setting. Twyford is a lovely village just a hop, skip and jump from Winchester. An excellent meal can be enjoyed at the Bugle Inn which is a short walk away. Kate was an excellent host - Thanks Kate for providing a memorable experience!

Lovely, charming and very comfortable
A wonderful and charming converted barn accommodation in an idyllic Hampshire village just outside Winchester. Easy access just off the M3 if driving or a ten pound taxi ride from Winchester. We walked in and out of Winchester along the beautiful local waterways. Easy walk to the three local pubs. The barn was extremely comfortable and completely equipped with all the necessary kitchen and technology based items we needed. It was the perfect getaway after we had spent two weeks racing around France and Spain. We immediately felt at home. We had a great day cycling through the New Forest as well as sightseeing in most of the southern counties. Kate and Matt were fantastic hosts and could not be more accommodating. Great hospitality. Overall it was prefect for what we wanted and needed for the last week of our holiday.

Great Home Base
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed Twyford and nearby Winchester the most during our holiday. The barn is also well positioned to a wonderful trail head. We traveled all over southern England from the barn. We highly recommend.

Matt and Kate White live at this address with their two young children Jack & Harry, and black labrador Lola - all of us are very friendly and look forward to welcoming you.

Why they chose this property

We bought our house together with our converted stables/coach house, as this is a stunning period property in a superb village location on the edge of the beautiful and historic City of Winchester. Mildmay House was formerly the Vicarage in Twyford and has stunning views of the Church and water meadows beyond.

What makes this property unique

The property is in a quiet location and a short stroll from the Village shop, post office and pubs, and there is very easy access to hustle and bustle of Winchester.
Having a car is not necessary as bus and train are easy walking distance.
