About Chantal

We are a family of 5 and Tas-Sellum is our second home. We are happy to share it with you and will do our best to ensure your stay in our apartment is a very enjoyable one.

We love Mellieha, which in our opinion has something for everyone. It is a peaceful and relatively quiet resort in the winter months which then completely comes to life in the summer, popular with the locals and tourists alike.

What makes this apartment unique

Tas-Sellum is perfectly located by the sea and enjoys stunning views with all the amenities of an exclusive gated complex. It is situated away from the crowds in summer and therefore it is a great place to relax and unwind. But for those who enjoy the action of a beach resort, Tas-Sellum is not cut off and so you can reach all Mellieha has to offer very easily on foot or by car.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment is part of the exclusive, landscaped Tas-Sellum development. Tas-Sellum is a gated, fully maintained development with 24hr security. With a communal pool and direct access to the sea we also offer free on-site parking for 2 cars. The garage is served with a lift directly to the apartment. Cots, changing table, high-chair, toys and beach toys are all available on request. Smoking outside on terraces only. Outside: The apartment has a covered sea view terrace with 2 tables and 6 chairs. A private terrace serving Bedroom 1 has a bistro set. A large private terrace serving Bedroom 2 & 3 had an outdoor rattan sofa suite and 2 rattan sunbeds with table. 6 lightweight deckchairs and 6 lightweight sunbeds are available for use by the pool. Utility Room: Separate Utility Room with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, cleaning materials and products provided, outdoor clothes rack Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Your end of stay cleaning costs are included. Additional housekeeping services are available in the morning at EUR15 p/hr and are payable in cash (minimum 2hrs)

Wonderful, spacious, luxury apartment

Wow! Chantal's apartment exceeded all expectations, it is tastefully decorated to a high standard and very well equipped and maintained. It is well laid out - the calm spacious bedrooms and lovely entertaining space were perfect for the five of us and our visitors. Visiting family (English and Maltese) were very impressed.

Chantal went out of her way to help us, communication was excellent.

Wonderful property

This is a wonderful property, extremely spacious, light and modern and very clean. It is very well equipped with some lovely thoughtful touches. For example the owners have provided a pay as you go mobile phone for guests to use while on the island. Heating and wifi worked perfectly. Underground parking is provided with lift access directly to the apartment. Lovely views from the living area over the communal pool and sea. We stayed in January and the weather was changeable, rain and wind with bursts of sunshine so we didn't make use of the pool but it looked beautiful. Chantal was very efficient prior to the holiday and met us and showed us around when we arrived. She and her husband were very responsive during our stay.The nearest mini supermarket was a few minutes walk but we preferred to use the larger Valyou supermarket in Mellieha. This is modern and stocked with a great variety of goods and has parking to the front and underground. There were a few restaurants and bars open about a 10 minute walk away in Mellieha Bay but there is an excellent selection of restaurants available in Mellieha which is a good 20 minutes walk up a steep hill. Our favourite restaurant in town was IL-MITHNA which is located in a lovely old building which used to be a mill. If you don't want to walk up the hill the Malta bus service is fantastic. There are buses about every 10 to 15 minutes which pick up at the Luna apartments just a couple of minutes walk from Tas Sellum apartment and they go up the hill into the town, it stops outside the supermarket and a few other places such as the church. The bus fare is 1.50 where ever you go and the ticket can be used again within a 2 hour time frame. This means that you could go to the supermarket and back using the same ticket. The buses go all over the island including all the main places of interest. I got the bus to Valletta (2 x an hour from Luna apts) which took about 70 minutes but it was a relaxing journey and meant that I could sight see along the way. Best of all the bus station is right next to the city gates. We did drive into Valletta once but parking is very difficult, don't try to park in the city itself, there are large car parks outside the city walls next to the bus station (I think this area was called Floriana). This was our first time in Malta and even in January there is plenty to see and do and Tas Sellum was a perfect base from which to explore. Thank you Chantal

We are a family of 5 and have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Malta at Tas Sellum.

We were greeted by Chantal, who is lovely and very efficient. She gave us a detailed tour of the apartment on arrival and was always available via phone or email for anything we needed during our stay.

The apartment is beautiful! Large, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very well maintained. The pool was perfect and we virtually had it to ourselves and we loved sitting on the terrace enjoying the sea and bay views. The sandy beach, shops and bus stops are just a short walk away which is very convenient.

I would highly recommend staying at this apartment to anyone and we plan to return next summer.

Lovely, well equipped and spacious apartment

Just returned from a lovely week at Tas Sellum. The apartment itself was immaculately presented with everything and more to make it a home from home. It was very spacious and our family of 6 had more than enough room to spread out. The pool and views from the balcony were wonderful and the complex itself feels very secure and well kept. Chantal, the owner was very helpful both before and after arrival. There were many nice restaurants and bars close by and the sandy beach was within walking distance. All in all we had a lovely relaxing week and would definitely recommend it to anyone

We have just spent a fabulous 2 week holiday in this apartment. We are a family of 5 with children aged 12, 15 and 17 and they absolutely loved the space inside the apartment and the pool area outside. The apartment is beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We love this area of Malta as there is plenty to see and do and many restaurants and bars in the vicinity. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely Apartment and Great Holiday

We are a family of 5 with boys aged 13, 10 and 6 and this property was perfect for us. Plenty to see and do on Malta - recommend hiring a car (there is an allocated parking space in the underground car park). Local area has good beaches and options for eating out although a drive is needed to find more variety. The apartment is wonderful, the listing on the site doesn't really do it justice. It is very large, very comfortable and well equipped. The pool is great although children need to give more consideration to other users than they might do in a hotel pool - wasn't any problem for us though. Views across Mellieha bay are lovely. Chantal was great to deal with - both before we arrived and while we were there.

Our apartment has open sea views and the development leads directly to the sea. Malta's largest sandy beach at Ghadira Bay is a 10 minute walk away. Here you will find snack bars, sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports available. Other popular beaches like Golden Bay are close by. A short bus or car journey takes you to the port for a ferry crossing to Gozo & Comino.


Malta International Airport is approximately a 45 minute drive from Mellieha. You can travel to the apartment by taxi or hire a car. Should you require help organising this please ask we will be more than happy to assist you. Local buses provide a frequent service and cost effective way to see Malta and Gozo. A car is recommended for guests with mobility problems if they want to go out and about.


Bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away.

More can be found up a steep hill in the Mellieha village core which is a 5 minute bus journey away. It is possible to walk up the hill - it will take approx 20+ minutes and is not for the faint hearted. Here you will find bars, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, hotels, hairdressers, clothes and souvenir shops.

Further Details:

Our bus service offers a cost effective way of visiting various places of interest around the island.

Many places can also be reached via the Malta Sightseeing Bus which offers a hop-on, hop-off service, with north and south routes available.

Gozo is a 15 minute car and 20 minute ferry ride away from Mellieha, you can use the Gozitan bus service or Sightseeing bus to get around, Alternatively join one of the many escorted tours available.

For the more adventurous there is the Italian island of Sicily which takes only 90 minutes aboard Virtu Ferries, with day trips available for both sightseeing and shopping.
