Available for minimum rentals of 7 nights. Ptarmigan Lodge provides the perfect holiday home for families and sporting groups. The nearby Cairngorms are home to the elusive Ptarmigan, a rare mountain dwelling bird, after which the lodge is named. The outdoor Hot Tub allows you to relax and soak in the peace and quiet of the forest and listen to the river.

About Dunpark

Ptarmigan Lodge is family owned by myself and my wife. We have a young family and enjoy all the outdoor activity that takes place around the Spey Valley and Nethy Bridge. We love skiing, mountain biking, trail running and hill walking.

Dunpark purchased this bungalow in 1995

Why Dunpark chose Aviemore and the Cairngorms

We feel Nethy Bridge is a real jewel of the Spey Valley and has a indelible link with the forest, rivers and nature that surrounds it.

Nethy Bridge and Ptarmigan Lodge are a real easy-living place. Walking by the river down to the local shop for the paper on a Sunday morning is one of my favourite walks.

It's our favourite place to spend time relaxing in winter or summer.

What makes this bungalow unique

We rebuilt the lodge 15 years ago and double it in size. We wanted to bring the outdoors into the house with the huge glass windows. So it s very open plan indoor/outdoor house and it worked!

The whole holiday was excellent, could not fault it.

Notes on accommodation: Open plan easy living with every comfort you would ever need. Very cosy with central heating plus a woodburning stove in the main living area and a open fire in the snug room. Side entry into the 'wet room' keep all the mud in the right place. The 'wet room' is equipped with washing machine, drying machine, additional heater for drying clothes and a shower for getting the mud off you before entering the main living space. Outside: There is a large decking area and garden for outdoor living equipped with a gas BBQ, large dining table and chairs and a hot tub. Access to our private river bank is via a gate to ensure peace of mind for families with children and/or dogs. Utility Room: There is a large muddy entrace for leaving jackets and wellies that leads to a wet room for showering and drying clothes. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine and dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: One set of clean towels and Lineren are included. for the duration of your stay.
