We have visit Portugal many times, especially the Algarve with his beautiful coast. We have found a house in an upmarket area of Albufeira, quiet but lovely and 10 minutes walking from the centre of Albufeira Old Town with his bars, restaurants, artists and sea and beach. Anyway I just wanted to let you both know we had a fabulous time in Portugal & your beautiful home in particular. We have stayed in many private rented apartments over the years and can honestly say that yours was by far the best we have stayed in. It was very clean, homely and extremely well equipped, there was nothing that you hadn’t thought of. We loved sitting out on the patio in the morning enjoying the sun & having breakfast and at night we enjoyed the peace and quiet with a coffee and nightcap. We will most definitely return to Portugal and would not even look to book anywhere else other than your lovely home, thank you for sharing it with us.

Coast/Beach:

Albufeira has 2 beaches: the golden sands of the Town Beach with bars, restaurants and water sports, reached via a tunnel through the cliff side, and Fisher men's Beach with its wide sandy shore often lined with brightly painted fishing boats. Within a short drive there are numerous other beaches varying from the sandy coves at Sao Rafael to the long stretches of golden sand at Gale, Praia Grande (nr Pera) and Falesia. For nature lovers, Salgados is the perfect beach to unwind only 20 mins away.

Travel:

Fly to Faro Airport which is served by a number of budget airlines from the UK. The apartment is situated to the west of Albufeira just above the old town. It is approx 46km from the airport. Taxi fare is about 35 Euro and the travel time around 40 minutes. Car hire, although not essential, is readily available at Faro airport.

Distances:

Windmill Hill is just an 8 to 10 mins walk to the old town of Albufeira and a short distance to the new marina. A short taxi ride takes you to the vibrant strip area and the Algarve shopping complex. Albufeira is one of the Algarve’s most popular resorts but retains its distinctive Portuguese character. The historic town is particularly pretty with its narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, restaurants and shops. The central square is a good place to sit and watch the world go by.

The Algarve is famous for its excellent year round climate, sandy beaches and wonderful golf courses. As one of Europe's top holiday destinations it does provide something for everyone from the busy water parks and main beaches to more secluded coves and inland gems such as the Sierra De Monchique hills and the historic town of Silves, the ancient capital. Secure wireless broadband/internet available at no charge. There is no air conditioning, because it is by high temperature in summer very cool inside. Outside: Windmill Hill is a low rise spacious complex, consisting of only 91 units. Set in beautiful landscaped gardens the swimming pool with children’s section is positioned alongside the restored windmill and overlooks Albufeira old town and the magnificent coastline. There are plenty of sunbeds and sunshades available around the pool. A snack bar is available during the summer months, there are 2 tennis courts and plenty of free parking for guests. The apartment has its own private large sunny terrace with BBQ, dining for 4 people and just enjoying a glass of your favourite wine. Utility Room: Washing machine in master bathroom. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service one time per week. Linen and towels provided. Guests will need to bring their own pool/beach towels. Other: Large terrace. terrace has magnificent views Albufeira Old Town and coast Falesia to Villamoura. Outdoor dining table and 4 chairs. Separate BBQ. A lovely place to relax. At the entrance is also a large terrace, quiet and in the shadow.

Great apartment, great location and very good holiday

The apartment was very clean - the photographs dont do it justice. It's also I. A great location. The staff very friendly and communication with the owners was very good. We had a lovely holiday and would go back.

Great apartment and beautiful stay in Albufeira

The apartment was great. Well equiped. Clean and modern. Nice swimmingpool with restaurant and even a mini market. Beautiful view over the coastline of the Algarve. Centre of Albufeira in 10 min. walking. The best is to rent a car. There so much nice beaches in the area.

We had a lovely stay in Bertus and Ingrids apartment.Set on a beautiful complex.Very quiet at night.Walk into town about ten minutes.Lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance.A bit hilly for the faint hearted but good exercise.We would really recommend it.

We had a lovely time staying in this great accommodation. Hardly any noise at night, great views overlooking the coastline, pool and snack bar spot on. Loads of places to explore within short walking distances. The owners were very helpful with the booking. A great holiday overall.

Spent 2 weeks in this lovely apartment, spacious, lovely terrace and well equipped spacious kitchen. Set slightly back from pool so nice and quiet, full sky TVs and Internet assess.spent many an evening on the terrace having bbqs . Would love to return

Wonderful Apartment!

We have just spent a fantastic 9 nights in this great apartment and we are delighted after our stay. The property is immaculate and beautifully set out. The small resort complex is quiet and ideally located with a short walk to old town Albufeira. Our three children (13, 10 and 6 years) enjoyed the pool immensely, we walked to the local beach (10 mins away) and there are some tremendous beaches (San Rafael, Coelha, Castelo and Espirito) that you can access with only a short drive from here if you have a car. We'd highly recommend a stay here and would be happy to return. The owners provide brilliant communication and customer service.
