Comfortable cottage next to the Stiffkey marsh. Large enclosed garden. Sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms. Two medium sized dogs are allowed or ask. Quiet rural location surrounded by fields. Wide open view. You can see the marsh and sea from the cottage. Off road parking. 10 minute walk to the village pub via a lane at the back of the cottage. The village benefits from a character-full 16th century free-house pub, dog friendly that has a large car park. The coastal path is a minutes walk away. Discount for couples.

Perfect Location

The cottage was warm and welcoming. The owner, Patrick, was responsive to all of our questions. All of the appliances were in good working order. Most importantly was the location of the property. We could walk out our door and go straight to the marsh. We spent six unforgettable weeks here and we recommend it highly.

Week in Stiffkey

Fantastic location - very short walk straight onto the saltmarsh from where we walked to Wells, out to the sea and over towards Morston.....half a mile walk the other way to village shop and excellent village pub / restaurant. We had a great stay - highly recommended

Not as expected.

Property looked tired from outside, two old wooden chairs dangerous, under roof full of cobwebs. Cutlery, cups, and glasses dirty. Downstairs bathroom mirror light full of dust on top and didn't work. Floors polished but to slippery, especially with rugs on top. Downstairs double bed mattress didn't fit bedstead correctly, gap either end, and far to soft, also very squeaky. Website states hot tube, when you look at all 56 amenities states Spa whirpool, where was ? This was one of our key factors. Would not recommend, very disappointed.

Really lovely stay at this property. A great house in a superb location.

Fantastic and relaxing break in this clean and well presented house with a lovely garden in a beautiful setting. Well located for exploring all that the local area has to offer. Patrick was great to deal with, easily contactable and very helpful.

The owner Patrick is married to Marelle and has 2 daughters Madeleine and Alexandra and one dog a basset hound.

We live in Freckenham Suffolk so it does not take us long to get to Stiffkey. We go every weekend to ensure the cottage is up to standard. We do not just leave it for someone else..

Why they chose this property

Mulberry Cottage was bought by my father in 1963 when the Anti Aircraft Training Camp was de-commissioned and sold. This building was part of the camp and was used as our family's holiday home so I have known it all my life. He gave this part to me in 2007 at which time it was renovated.

We all loved going there as children and now my family enjoy it. It is in an amazing location next to the marshes so we could just carry kayaks down to the creek and paddle off.

The cottage is down a private road together with 3 others. It is about 100 yards from the Stiffkey marshes accessed by a public path that runs past the back of the cottage. It is a very quiet peaceful location in sight of the marsh and the sea.

What makes this property unique

There is a large driveway with space for several cars.
The cottage offers comfortable accommodation on 2 floors with modern kitchen and bathrooms and all homely comforts. 4 bedrooms.

There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor which is ideal for those who find stairs a problem. This bathroom has a bath and a separate shower enclosure.
There is a large back garden enclosed with small mesh stock proof wire to keep children and dog safe.
Veranda at the front providing outside covered space with lighting. This has a bench some chairs and a small table.
There is a front garden fenced off from the turning circle.
