Llecyn is a well equipped self-catering property, newly decorated in seaside style and offering very comfortable self-catering accommodation for 4 people. Situated just back from the bay in an extremely quiet location, it has the added bonus of a very pretty and private garden which is completely enclosed on all sides for sunbathing, barbecuing or just sitting under a tree with a good book and listening to the birds! It is a very safe spot for dogs and children; there being an open green area beyond the garden gate across which it is a few minutes walk to the beach. There is allocated parking in the private car park adjacent to the houses, which is a real bonus in this small village and there is room to park two cars one behind the other. Porthmadog with its shops, restaurants, supermarkets and pubs can be reached on foot or by car and is approximately one mile away. There are several dog-friendly pubs and unrestricted beaches in the area. The tourist information centre in Porthmadog has details of the many attractions the area has to offer including National Trust properties ,the wonderful steam train journeys across Snowdonia and the unique Italianate village of Portmeirion. There are scenic walks with views of the coast and mountains to be enjoyed or why not try something more unusual like llama trekking or a visit to the slate caverns? Along the coast to either side it is possible to explore several seaside towns, each with their own character or to cross the Menai Straits and have a day out on Anglesey.
The Snowdon mountain range itself offers wonderful opportunities for some serious climbing. The world's first inland surfing lagoon, the spectacular 'Surf Snowdonia' is within easy reach, as is the world's fastest zip wire at Blaenau Ffestiniog. Indeed, for those enjoying outdoor activities, the Porthmadog area offers an all year round opportunity for mountain biking, horse-riding, quad biking, segway, carting, white water rafting, high ropes, gorge walking, underground climbing and all types of fishing.
Borth y Gest stands at the head of an area of outstanding natural beauty, namely the Llyn Peninsula with its rugged coastline and spectacular views across the sea and mountains. There are gorgeous unspoiled coves and beaches to explore such as Aberdaron, Llanbedrog and Porthdinllaen. The area attracts many varieties of sea-birds, and seals and dolphins can sometimes be spotted. There are boat trips available for those with a keen interest in wild life and there is an osprey nesting site just outside Porthamadog.
A deposit of £100 confirms the booking and the balance of the total is requested 4 weeks before your stay. Please note the deposit is non-refundable. Should you choose to cancel between 2 and 4 weeks prior to your arrival 50% of the balance will be retained. Cancellation within 2 weeks incurs forfeiture of the entire amount paid.
The property is available for weekly lets commencing on Saturdays at 4 pm and must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure to facilitate cleaning.
Notes on prices:
SHORT BREAKS are occasionally available during the low price band only. These can be of 3, 4 or 5 nights duration and are charged at a flat rate of £290.
DOGS. Well behaved dogs are welcome at £15 per dog. Please advise number and breeds of dogs prior to booking.
