The Swiss Chalet was built over 100 years ago and is part of the Ballamoar Castle estate & set within 55 acres of gardens and woodland. Plenty of space for families and groups to enjoy their base on the Isle of Man.
Proving extremely popular with groups visiting for walking, sightseeing, cycling and motorcycle holidays.
The Swiss Chalet is 20 minutes drive from Douglas & 10 minutes from Ramsey. 5 minutes from the sandy beaches of the north west of the Island.
The Guard House Cafe is a 5 minute drive away and we have various Village pubs approximately 5 minutes by car.

I moved to the Isle of Man in 1959 and purchased the estate of Ballamoar Castle which has been my home ever since. The Swiss Chalet is one of the properties on the 55 acre estate.
I love Ballamoar and it's beautiful historic grounds which are over 400 years old. The gardens are made up of rare trees from all over the world and the sounds of the bird life are wonderful. When the Heron count takes place, usually 7 - 8 Heron's nests are found. Sometimes Hen Harriers can be seen.
The Swiss Chalet is a 150 year old property, situated at the top of the back drive to Ballamoar Castle.
It is an ideal location for a family holiday and sleeps up to 8 guests. We can also accommodate a further 4 in The Loft Apartment, across the drive. Making 12 in total.
Guests enjoy walking through the gardens and woods and find them very therapeutic, particularly listening to the many different bird sounds.
The sandy beach of Ballaugh is a 5 minute drive away.
We were made to feel most welcome on our first visit to The Swiss Chalet & consequently have enjoyed 3 more holidays in this unusual country house. We love the space for our children and grandchildren to explore without feeling on top of one another. The Isle of Man is our 'special place'!!

We require a booking deposit of £300 to secure a property & the balance to be paid a minimum of 4 weeks before arrival.
Changeover day (through summer months) is on Saturday. Other times we can be flexible.

Prices range from £495 for a short break to £895 per week during summer.
All depending on time of stay, season & number of guests.
