Cabin in Windermere, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Very Peaceful Location

Relax and unwind in this luxurious woodland lodge. It has all the amenities required for a family of 4. The lodge is equipped with all modern amenities inc free WiFi, dishwasher, microwave, TV and DVD. Prices are for mid week, weekend and weekly rentals, the price includes linen, towels, gas, electric and water. For only £15.00 (paid locally) your whole party can enjoy use of all on-site facilities including indoor heated pool, gym, sauna, bar, restaurant, children's play areas all being just a short stroll from the lodge. (Please be advised we don't except pets at this time).

I live in north of England with my husband and 2 children. We both work hard and enjoy holidaying whenever we can be it home and abroad. By owning this lodge it means we can get away at short notice and enjoy the many attractions that the beautiful Lake District has to offer.

Why Louise Banks chose Windermere & Central Lakes

We decided to buy this lodge on White Cross Bay as we live in the Lake District but never holiday in the area. Now with having Sunny Bank Lodge when it's not let out we can just jump in the car and be there within 20 minutes to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that the lodge has to offer as well as having the Lake District literally on the door step.

What makes this cabin unique

White Cross Bay holiday Park is nestled between Windermere and Ambleside and only 2 miles away from Windermere train station. When arriving at White Cross Bay you will be greeted by the friendly staff at reception where they will hand you the keys to Sunny Bank Lodge, give you a map of the holiday park and where the lodge is on site. When approaching the lodge you will see there is plenty of parking for upto 4 vehicles, with a large decking area with plenty of seating for those alfresco evenings. The lodge will have been fully cleaned with fresh linen and towels provided. On site there is a bar, restaurant small shop, arcade and leisure facilities which includes gym, pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. (Leisure passes can be bought at reception if required at a cost of £15 for your whole party for the duration of your break).

Fabulous place to stay!

9My Husband and I stayed with our 3 year old Daughter. The lodge is lovely and clean and well equipped! The sun shines down all afternoon and evening too which was nice.

There are board games too which was handy.

We paid £15 to use the site facilities which was a gym, pool, sauna and steam room.

We would stay again!!

Wonderful family time at Sunny Bank

We are a family of four and had a wonderful holiday in the lodge

White cross bay has a relaxed feel and the pool was enjoyed by both my children.

The area is beautiful and we loved windemere and bowness.

The lodge itself is fabulous, every little thing has been thought of and it is a complete home from home

Excellent Lodge

A fabulous lodge on a fantastic park.

Stayed for 4 nights over New Year and had a wonderful time.

The lodge is top class & furnished to a very high standard, it's like home from home & has all the mod cons & amenities that you need.

Whitecross Bay itself is a delightful site set in beautiful & tranquil surroundings. There's a club house, swimming pool, restaurant & gym and you're only a mile or so either side of Ambleside & Bowness so there's always plenty going on to keep the whole family entertained.

Can highly recommend & would definitely return.

Beautiful lodge in relaxing surroundings!

Thank you Louise for allowing us to stay in your beautiful, new lodge on White Cross Bay.

The lodge is furnished to a very high standard with fresh clean colours. It is well equipped with everything you would need for a short break away, even a picnic set to take to the lake! It was a very peaceful, relaxing park with friendly staff.

We had organised taxi's to take us from the park (allowing us to have a glass on the boat!) to Bowness for a trip on the lake-highly recommend. We will be returning next year!!!

Road - Exit M6 Junction 36, take slip road left signposted A590 Kendal/Barrow. The A590 becomes the A591 and follow signs for Windermere. Stay on A590 following signs for Ambleside crossing mini roundabout. White Cross Bay is approx 2 miles on left (well signposted).

Changeover days are normally Friday/Monday for both weekly and short breaks but we do try to flexible and accommodate best we can.

A 20% deposit is require to secure the break and the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your arrival date.

Highchair and travel cot are available on request at a charge of £5 per item per break

Notes on accommodation: Please note: We do not allow same sex parties under the age of 21 or any hen or stag parties. There is strictly no smoking and no pets allowed in the holiday home. Please treat the lodge as if it was your own home. Outside: The lodge is located in a quiet serene area of the park in a woodland setting. One of the many stand out features of the lodge is the large balcony/decking area which is an excellent sun trap from dusk till dawn. The decking area is also ideal for al fresco dining with the floor to ceiling bi-fold doors opening out from the lounge. A short walk through the park provides access to the private lakeside marina with availability to launch motor boats, dinghies, canoes etc (please note there is a small charge payable to the park not the owners). The lakeside frontage also offers Utility Room: No extra room as all appliances are within kitchen area Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Full cleaning service including all linen and towels is provided and replaced following each rental.
