Welcoming you in warm Mediterranean colours inside and out, Princes Point Villa provides spacious family accommodation for up to 8 adults and two infants. Magnificently situated between the north Skye shoreline and the hills of the Trotternish Ridge, the Villa enjoys a quiet secluded location in a friendly, rural, crofting community. Every window offers stunning views of Skye scenery. The main first-floor lounge and all four bedrooms have sea views. Sunsets over the Outer Hebrides from the picture windows of the upstairs living room have to be seen to be believed. The Villa is generously proportioned and includes two lounges, so there is plenty of space for everyone to relax. The Villa is comprehensively equipped to a high standard throughout you'll want for nothing! All 'mod cons' have been provided including Sky satellite TV in three rooms, Freeview in others, free unlimited BT Broadband with wifi, PlayStations 2 & 3, good Hi Fi and many other amusements, including a football table. Wildlife abounds and the lounge viewing scope offers the chance to get 'close up' to whales, porpoises, basking sharks, otters, eagles and other Scottish wildlife... as well as neighbouring sheep and Highland cattle. Outside, the house has a safe and secure lawned garden enjoying both fabulous sea and mountain views. There is a fully equipped gas Barbecue with a shelter and an outside dining area perfect for dining 'al fresco' on Long Skye summer evenings... the sun doesn't set until almost midnight. Whatever your holiday interests and plans, there is so very much to see and do locally without the need to travel far.... it is magical part of the world.

We are a small family business who have been involved in Tourism on the Isle of Skye for over 25 years. Princes Point Villa is in a superb location. Totescore is just a few minutes drive from the busy wee village of Uig with all it's amenities, and yet is a quiet and tranquil haven with magnificent sea views and no passing traffic... we fell in love with it!

Not only is the location stunning, but the Villa is unique and very different from many of the traditional Skye houses. For a start, it is split-level which immediately gives it another dimension and character. For me, the winning features are light and space. There are windows everywhere giving a 360 degree panorama of the wonderful sea and mountain scenery.

You don't feel as though you are in a house.... you feel like you are part of the great outdoors..... whilst living in luxury.

What makes this villa unique

Princes Point Villa is a great base for exploring not only the Isle of Skye, but also the Outer Isles. The Calmac ferry service runs regularly from Uig just two miles distant from the Villa. You can take a day trip.... or stay for a few nights!

But before you venture far, you'll have so much to explore locally on the Trotternish peninsular. There is something for everyone.... of all ages and of all abilities.

There's history evident everywhere.... Skye's famous Dinosaur footprints and fossils, Clan History and Castles, Viking Invasions & settlements, Crofting museums, deserted villages, and so much more.

We have some of the best walking and climbing in Britain right on the doorstep.... the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Trotternish ridge walk and miles of stunning coastline.

Notes on accommodation: Princes Point Villa is the 'flagship' property of SKYE HOLIDAY RENTALS - a local family business who have been caring for visitors to Skye for 25 years. The Villa is open and available every week of the year.... we never close! It is warm, cosy and comfortable throughout the year and makes a wonderful venue for Christmas or New Year holiday 'get together'. Short breaks are available over the winter months. The Villa has so many windows that you genuinely feel 'outdoors' when indoors... which is perfect on cold winter days! Princes Point is a truly unique and special holiday home whether providing a romantic escape for couples or as a family holiday base. It is wonderfully comfortable and relaxing. We offer discounts for stays of two weeks and more... please contact us for details. Outside: The large garden with it's panoramic sea and mountain view is mostly laid to lawn. It is quiet, well fenced, safe and secure There is a fully-equipped gas-fired barbecue with shelter and an adjoining outside dining area. Other benches around the garden offer places to sit and soak-in the stunning scenery. There ample 'off-lane' parking for up to 5 cars. Utility Room: Washing m/c, tumble drier, sink & drainer, iron & ironing board, clothes & footwear drying. Outside washing line. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels are included and there are plenty! The property is serviced weekly and linen/towels changed throughout. Other: Being on three levels, the Villa feels very open and spacious. It allows guests their 'own space' to properly relax. The dining room and breakfast bar are adjacent to the kitchen and Day Room creating a 'social hub' for meal times...

Fantastic, Cosy, Peaceful, Stunning,Relaxing

This was our second time at this property and definately won't be our last. Set in a stunning location, the property is equally stunning to match it's environment. The property has everything you could possibly need and you feel so at home when you arrive. The owner calls to make you feel welcome and is happy to help with any queries. The property is a perfect base for exploring NE Skye and the Trotternish penninsular is stunning. I can't say enough about how good this property is.

Beautiful through and through

We had a wonderful stay at Princess Point Villa.

The house was very beautifully presented, fresh colours and fully equipped with all a family would need. We stayed in the dead of winter and the house was warm through out.

The host Andy was keen to ensure we had a good stay and left us with contact details should we have any problems or needed some advice.

We would definitely come back again and again!!!

"A fantastic house in a fantastic location"

This is our fourth visit to princes point villa and we will soon e booking our fifth,this time we took my elderly mother who has traveled the world she says this is the very best self catering accommodation she has ever stayed in .

As before such a welcoming homely feel with all the welcome packages fresh bread,milk,wine,and just everything you could possibly need.

There is plenty of space for everyone fantastic views,absolute peace and quiet the perfect spot to relax and unwind,this time we ventured out on a fabulous boat trip Skye cruises from Uig a Scottish built 1940’s rind netter fishing boat, we have been on many boat trips in Scotland but this as to be the best it was the most relaxed trip ever, we saw white tailed sea eagles,seals and many different sea birds we even saw porpoises, as you travel along the coast line you see the most fantastic waterfalls all this and a bottle of Skye beer what a perfect day thank you captain Tom.

And a big thank you again to Andrew for making our holiday a special one look forward seeing you next year

Wonderful house and outstanding hospitality

We loved our stay at Princes Point villa. The house wanted for nothing and the warm welcome we got from Andy was lovely & made for a completely relaxed stay. It being October the weather was very changeable but there was plenty of space for 8 of us and dog to spread out and plenty of entertainment options too. The welcome pack was really thoughtful and a real treat when we arrived. Thank-you Andy for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house and location.Wonderful host!

We had a very warm welcome at the Princess Point Villa.

There was fresh fruit, chocolates, milk and even bread, all you had to bring was yourself.

Everything is thought about, you won`t miss a thing.

The house is beautifully furnished and has a great view out of the living room upstairs.

It is very spacious and comfortable. We had cows and sheep all around us which made this

one very exceptional vacation for us. There are maps and plenty of other literature about the

Isle of Skye in the house, very helpful.

Andy was a wonderful host and gave us some great tips for our vacation on the isle of Skye.

We sure miss this place already, but looking forward to coming back some time in the future.

We can really recommend a stay in this wonderful house!

The nearest sandy beach is at Camus Mor which is a 10 minute drive from Princes Point Villa. A slightly further drive (20 minutes) takes you to the magnificent broad sweep of Staffin Bay and sands. Both are lovely and they also have public slipways for boat launching.


Princes Point Villa can be reached the Citylink bus services from both Inverness and Glasgow terminate at Uig.... to connect with the Calmac Outer Isles ferry. Once here, there is an excellent local bus service running daily (except Sundays) which will get you around Skye.

Princes Point Villa is about 250 miles (400km) from both Glasgow or Edinburgh and the car journey will sensibly take between 5 and 6 hours. Inverness is 120 miles (190km) distant and the drive takes about three hours.


Uig Village & Ferry Port (shops, petrol, pubs & restaurants) - 2 miles.

Portree (the capital town of Skye) - 15 miles

Princes Point Villa is situated on the north-eastern peninsula of Skye - called Trotternish. We believe it to be the most beautiful part of the whole island..... it has everything!

The coastline is simply stunning from the broad sweep of sands at Staffin Bay to the dizzy heights of the famous cliffs at Kilt Rock. There is something to discover along almost every inch of the coastline and nearly all of it can be walked. The Rubha Hunish headland at Duntulm on the very northern tip of Skye is among the most beautiful and dramatic places in the whole of the british Isles. It's also a great place for whale watching!

The 'back-bone' of the peninsula is the Trotternish Ridge which runs from Portree to Duntulm in the north and can be walked for all of it's 20 miles. It is acclaimed as one of the best and most dramatic long walks in Britain. Along the Ridge is the famous rock pinnacle called the 'Old Man of Storr and then above Flodigarry, are the renowned pinnacles of the Quiraing Mountain.... featured in many movies including 'Highlander'.

So, the walking is just wonderful and almost unlimited..... dare we say......better than the Cuillins!

There is so much to do in Trotternish and so many ways to enjoy your Skye holiday. There are fascinating museums, famous Dinosaur finds and footprints, crofting community recreations, ruined castles, deserted mines and villages.... the list is endless and will keep you more than busy.

The two main villages are the ferry port of Uig and the crofting village of Staffin. Both are thriving little communities with pubs, restaurants, wee tea rooms and a warm Highland welcome! The award-winning ales of the Uig brewery are never far away.

You can hide away on deserted beaches, watch otters, eagles and dolphins.... take kayak or archery lessons at the Whitewave Outdoor Centre....or just relax in the wonderful peace and quiet that is this timeless and special part of our world.
