Delightful property in beautiful surroundings

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Lower Margate. Great for access to wonderful walls, both coastal and countryside. And a lovely house to relax in, in the evenings. Well equipped, and an outdoor fire pit was particularly appealing. Just one gripe - the broadband is very slow (perhaps as a consequence of location), but it did mean one of our adult children had to go back to London, because he could not work remotely.

Fabulous stay in gorgeous house

Superb couple of weeks in this very relaxing property. Brilliant facilities including huge well maintained garden with expansive lawns- great for kids games and dogs. Right next door to woods with cycle tracks and walking paths. Only up to half an hour to the north coast and south coast beaches. Fabulous location for most activities in Cornwall. Can’t wait to go back...

I live in the UK with my partner and two children, all of us have busy lives with work and school and holiday times and we love to spend time out in Cornwall.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the house from the first moment that I saw it, the beauty of the location and ease of getting there without all the hassle of winding roads. For me the house is a place I like to come to relax and spend time with family and friends, and to be able to explore all that Cornwall has to offer. There is so much more to the area than just the beach, and I have found so many stunning places right on my doorstep.
The house has the benefit of being close enough to the main A30 route without the noise and hustle and bustle. Bodmin is a short drive away and has all the expected local amenities from supermarkets of which (Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda will deliver). There is also a sports centre, and a minor injuries unit at the local hospital.

What makes this property unique

The property is reached down a private lane, and also has access into Cardinham Woods directly from the grounds of the property. You could not be better placed to enjoy the surrounding area, its sights, scenery, activities and history in the relaxing atmosphere of the house.
It is situated close to the main road links to Plymouth and further down into Cornwall, there is a video of the property on the lower margate.com site which shows the house and Cardinham woods.
