Naugarede is an imposing stone built farmhouse that has been full restored with added luxury finishes.
It has six large bedrooms and five bathrooms in total, sleeping fifteen guests.
Five of the bedrooms and four of the bathrooms are within the main house. One further bedroom and bathroom, as well as second kitchen, WC and games room are contained within the adjoining annexe.
The main house and annexe are arranged around a lawned courtyard, at the end of which is a heated 10 x 5m swimming pool. Further lawns and open fields lie beyond and an outdoor lounge and dining area make the most of the superb views.
An enclosed children's play garden leading off the kitchen, equipped with swings, sandpit, slide and climbing frame will ensure that the parents have as much of a holiday as the little ones.
The large kitchen has a wood burner, dining area, and a comfortable seating area. It is fully equipped with top of the range appliances including a gas stove, electric double oven, dishwasher, microwave and American style fridge freezer. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and ironing board and iron. An open plan dining room and lounge accommodate a large dining table, open fire and comfortable sofas. There is a large flatscreen TV and DVD player with surround sound.
A large selection of both adult's and children's books and DVDs are at your disposal, along with puzzles, toys and family board games. British TV channels and wifi internet throughout the house. A pool table, table tennis, badminton set and boules are also provided.
Naugarede is within easy reach of several stunning medieval towns, including Monpazier, Villereal and Monflanquin.
Several supermarkets are just 15-20 minutes by car, and the weekly markets in Monsempron Libos and Villereal will delight guests.

The house, garden and setting are simply beautiful. Also, as self-confessed foodies, in one of France's most gastronomic regions and most abundant in terms of produce, we are inspired each time we go to the market. And the climate is amazing. The landscape is lush and green, but the sun shines too. Plus, being in the Dordogne area, when not soaking up the sunshine by the pool, there's loads to do, from wine tasting, to visiting chateaux to canoeing or bike riding. Bliss!
As well as retaining the country farmhouse feel, Naugarede has all the little luxuries you are used to having at home (wifi, all the appliances you could possibly need, electric fans, hair-dryers, DVD players, British TV). It is also fully equipped with more low-fi activities, such as children's and adult books, toys, puzzles, outdoor games and a pool table. You'll never get bored!
Wow - What a great place to come and stay to escape city living. Luxury and attention to detail is very evident in every aspect of the property.You can tell the owners take great pride in their property and are excellent hosts. A special mention must be made in relation to the great kitchen this property has, that is actually stocked with all the items that allowed us to feel like we were French chefs for the week. If you can tear yourself away from the lovely property, you are then spoiled with an abundance of great markets and pretty towns in the area. The Dordogne is a wonderful part of France, and with Naugarede as your base you will have a perfect time visiting the area.
We stayed at this very tastefully decorated but homely property with family and friends. The house is immaculate and has been very well planned to accomodate large groups such as ours (3 families of 4) without feeling overcrowded. We all enjoyed making our evening meals and eating Al fresco on the delightful patio area. Children of all ages are very well catered for and whilst for some the house may seem a little remote, none of our children aged 12-19 years old ever got bored. The grounds and pool area are enough to entertain adults and children alike but there's also a quiet area or two to be found for an afternoon snooze or to take some time out to read a book. We visited areas near to the house such as Monpazier, Monflanquin, Monsempron Libos (market day Thursday), Lougratte, Biron, Fumel to name a few. The area is delightful and having never visited before, we would not hesitate to return to both this region and Naugarede itself. Anna has been extremely helpful from the point of booking up until (and after) our departure, with prompt responses and helpful information such as restaurant recommendations (our favourite Le Calliou) and areas of interest/suggested days out. Thank you from all the Santos, Miller & Farmer parties, truly a holiday we will all treasure for years to come.

Superb facilities, lovely pool, peace and quiet and great local restaurants should you feel the need to wander (although you certainly don't need to). This place has everything you'll need and more.

If there is a better holiday location, I have yet to find it and I have now stopped searching!
This holiday home is luxurious with an attention to detail which is almost impossible to find in our experience . The accommodation is superb, the location is stunningly beautiful, with wonderful views . We loved the outside seating area where we could enjoy the sunset whilst listening to our choice of music or to the sounds of the crickets. The pool area was wonderfully relaxing and the children's play area is safe and secure. The house itself is beautiful , well equipped, extremely comfortable and spacious . Whilst the house is secluded It is within easy reach of amenities and tourist attractions. As a holiday home it really is perfect with something to suit everyone, from small children,for whom there are good quality toys to enjoy, to energetic teenagers, for whom there is a table tennis and pool table, to lazy adults who enjoy reading a good book in peace and quiet by the pool. I will be returning to this bit of paradise!
This is such a lovely house, beautifully restored. It's a wonderful place to spend a relaxing week, even if you have two very young boys!! We were a little concerned about the pool in the courtyard, but actually it had a hard cover which could easily be moved out over the pool - so the cover was only actually off when we were using the pool. That removed all concerns as the house and courtyard are so child-friendly. This is a great place and we will definitely come back with friends.
5 star accommodation for all the family. We had a beautiful holiday and enjoyed every minute of the stunning house and it's idyllic. surroundings. The place was great come rain or shine. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, reclining indoors and cooking in kitchen. We also enjoyed some of the near by tourist attractions. Would love to holiday here again.
