Apartment in Madrid, Central Spain - Peaceful Location, Walking Distance To Central Madrid, Atoche And Retiro Park Museums Etc.
- english, french, spanish, italian
We are a couple close to retirement age, but still have to work in the Middle East. Would much prefer to settle down in France or Spain...But in the meantime we try our best to provide nice holiday home for our guests.
Eric purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Eric chose Las Acacias
Please make a note that often apartments in Madrid do not have view outside. Corrala apartments have window only to the centre of the building with no view outside. We have a great view to a park from two French door windows.

Great centrally located apartment!
The landlord, Eric, was very helpful to us in our booking and stay in Madrid. The apartment is cozy, comfortable and within an easy walk to the city center and Atocha train station.
Great apartment in a great location
This is a lovely apartment, well equipped with everything you need. We loved the location - close to all the attractions, but on a quiet residential street away from the crowds. The subway is only a few minutes' walk, and two stops will take you to Puerto del Sol. The bus is very handy for Atocha train station or the Prado. There is a supermarket about a block away, and several nice restaurants just across the plaza.
The apartment is very comfortably furnished and appears to have been recently renovated. Ruthbert was very welcoming on our arrival and responded right away to a couple of questions we had. We enjoyed it very much and recommend it highly. All in all, a great base for exploring Madrid.
A lovely, beautifully decorated apartment in a residential area of Madrid
We enjoyed our stay in Madrid! The apartment, although small, accommodated us easily (2 adults) and was very clean. It was about a 30-minute walk to the Prado or other sites - very enjoyable and not a problem for us at all - we like getting in some walking before hitting museums, and there were metro and bus stops near by that we chose not to use. Lots of closet space for clothing, iron/ironing board, a comfortable love seat for relaxing, a large table for meals / research for the next day's adventures. Plenty of hot water, and the wi-fi worked just fine. Nice view from the front window. Other thoughts: The apartment is not super-quiet. Neighbors talking, opening and closing doors etc. were easily heard. This did NOT keep us up at night - even on Saturday night when the neighbors were up late we slept just fine, but if you are a very light sleeper you should bring ear-plugs (this is true no matter where you stay - Spain is a late-night country and in-city apartments are not going to be super-quiet). The only thing we didn't find was a drying rack - but we had brought our own line so were just fine. I suspect it was stored somewhere and we just didn't see it. We were able to adjust the heat to meet our needs, and made use of the hair dryer, coffee maker and microwave oven. Cecelia and Eric were responsive to the one question we had during our stay.
Very roomy and comfortable, and convenient to metro and Cercanias.
Thank you for the visit James, it was pleasure to have you as our guest!
All the best, Eric and Jessica
Beautiful and Comfortable
We stayed at Eric's apartment for 3 days. The apartment is beautiful and in a nice neighborhood. The metro is a 10 minute walk and is convenient to see Madrid. We were met on our arrival by Cecelia and given an overview of how things worked in the apartment. Eric was very accommodating in letting us check in early and was very prompt in addressing all our questions. There is a large grocery store a block from the apartment which we appreciated. Our only complaint was noises from the park outside and the apartments surrounding Eric's made it difficult for us to sleep. All in all I highly recommend Eric & Jessica's for a stay in Madrid.
Great Location, Everything We Were Looking For
This rental was perfect for two people. A great space with easy walking to the metro and lots of great places to visit in Madrid. We would love to return and use it again.
Special interest holidays:
Madrid is a metropol; city that offers almost anything; world class museums, historical buildings, theatres, great food, parks, good transportation system etc. Fantastic city holiday destination!
Madrid Airport to Atocha 25 min by train (RENFE), walking from Atocha to apartment is 15 min. There are metro stations even closer, Acacia closest 5 min walking, Piramide, Arganzuela etc. From Atocha there is also AVE service, the high speed train to Barcelona, Malaga, Cordoba and Seville. Great connections.
Fantastic location near to museums, Central Madrid and Plaza Major, Atocha bus and rail station, several Metro stations nearby, no major street noise as facing to the park
