"Pinecone Cabin" is well equipped and very comfortable for an extended stay in a breathtaking and beautiful area. We particularly enjoyed the gas grill, the lounge chairs on the huge porch and the quality of the Colorado beef. On our next visit we will rent a Jeep instead of a Ford Focus. Mountainside driveways are somewhat challenging. All things considered, our stay here rates as one of the best memories of our lives.
Great secluded location to stay in Evergreen
Loved our stay at the Pine Cone Cabin! Was in Colorado to do the Triple Bypass bike ride and the stayed at the property for a week. Cabin was clean, quaint, and had everything we needed. The view of the mountains from deck is wonderful. Chris and Carl were great hosts. Would definitely return. The only small negative was the steep gravel driveway up to the property. Once we figured out (with Chris and Carl's help) that the trick is to go past the driveway and turn around for a straight shot up, no problem.
Bring bird seed!
The property was exactly as advertised, neat and clean, and tucked away in the woods west of Evergreen. Carl and Chris were very kind and helpful hosts. The bird life was plentiful, and we bought a hummingbird feeder that was always busy. We put bird seed in a pan on the deck out front and watched as birds continually flocked to it. A deer came by to nibble on the bushes next to the house.
We stayed a month and visited 5 family members spread out from Idaho Springs to Denver. Because of this, we did a lot of planning online and by phone and text. Only one of our phones got a signal. The wifi signal was continually going out so that was a little inconvenient. But all in all it is a very nice cabin and we enjoyed our stay.
Pine Cone Cabin was amazing! 3 days were simply not enough. There is so much beauty/ relaxation. I had the chance to view many wild animals walk by the cabin. The banana bread was unexpected but such a kind gesture and touch, was very delicious!
For my first time going to Colorado, everything went more than well expected. Will be back to this cabin and can't wait already.
Quiet, huge deck, great getaway.
Very peaceful and relaxing.
Little Slice of Heaven
My husband and I were awed by the beauiful drive along Upper Bear Creek which led to Pine Cone Cabin!! We found the cabin to be quaint, cozy, very clean and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. The large deck was an awesome place to hang out and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We appreciated our hosts for their friendliness and prompt replies to questions and texts messages. I highly recomment Pine Cone Cabin to anyone who is seeking a quiet, Colorado-Cottage-in-the-Woods experience:)
