The apartment is located in the oldest and picturesque part of Breglia, up genuinely medieval alleyways, at the first floor of an ancient building totally recently restored. It has fine finishes, such as good wood windows double glazed, and a kitchen well equipped with pots and pans, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pots, fridge, spacious freezer. The apartment has WiFi just in the living room and in the courtyard. A cozy fireplace is so glad in cold evenings (we provide for free a generous basket of firewood)!! Bathroom has fan heater and hair-dryer. On request we provide baby cot and baby high chair (without charge, based on availability).
If you want to immerse yourself in Italian culture, to find the Italy of the olden days, this is the place to do it: quiet,comfortable base to explore the area, Breglia (small village over Menaggio) is not affected by tourism but at few minutes driving from the most famous lake places as Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna.
The village offers beautiful views, green woods for a refreshingly peaceful and restorative stay, an ideal starting point for walkers wishing to explore the many marked routes in the surrounding: here start numerous hiking for all levels of difficulty. Some routes slide into the woods and reach old lake villages, others rising on mountain above the town, with stunning views.
Please note:
the apartment is in the heart of the historical centre, it hasn't panoramic view, it looks the surrounding buildings and the cobbled alleyways: you can enjoy lake view and panoramas at few meters from the house, just outside the village and along the paths in the surroundings. Woods and meadows are at just few meters outside the village.
A very big and free public parking is at 150 meters from the house, behind the church.
