Upstairs are 3 large bedrooms; the principle room having open vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and stunning 4 poster King size bed with John Lewis Vi spring mattress and en-suite bathroom! There’s another King bedroom and a quirky twin room with round window and skylight. In total there are 3 fitted bathrooms including a large indulgent tub with claw and ball feet in the spacious family bathroom. There’s a range of books and family games, including a Wii gaming system with over 30 games to keep you occupied. The patio has tables, chairs, sunshade, loungers and a BBQ for the outdoors cooks. If the home comforts aren’t enough to keep you at the Barn there’s a lot to do in the locality; For the foodies, the local historic market town of Nantwich has some great coffee shops, delis and eateries. Theres a monthly farmers market and a great weekly market. Nantwich is a haven for foodies and was recently rated one of the best 20 towns in the Telegraph foodies ratings! There’s some fabulous pubs famed for their award winning food. We are close to The Cholmondeley Arms, The Fox and Barrel and The Dysart Arms to name only a handful! The Cholmondeley Arms, is a converted school with a reputation for its range of gins. A historic watering spot for Clarissa Dickson Wright. The local Co-op in Bunbury offers a wide range of essentials and local produce. Our village of Burland retains its farming heritage and today its mostly organic farms with fantastic local produce, so there’s plenty of fresh produce direct from our farms if you want to cook. For the shoppers, Nantwich has a range of individually owned boutiques and antique shops – head down Hospital Street for a great browse. The Georgian village of Tarporley is 10 minutes away with fabulous shops (as well as distinctive pubs and wine bars including for example "The Swan" (headquarters of the "Cheshire Hunt") We’re close to the Potteries Outlet and the famous Cheshire Oaks Outlets. Or head to Chester – 20 minutes away. If you like swimming don't forget to visit the local outdoor brine pool (booking required) with loungers at the side - make it a day out.
If you like the outdoor life we’ve got a bundle of fantastic walks on the doorstep. Walk out of the front door and join the public footpath across the countryside, take a trip to Beeston Castle and walk up through the ramparts to the old castle, call in at Peckforton Castle for a fabulous Bistro lunch and a look at the birds of prey or even book into their Landrover driving experience or their Crazy golf course. There’s an 8 acre field for the kids to play in at the back, and with plenty of country wildlife, a garden full of birds, bees and butterflies and the occasional bat fly pasts (if you’re quiet at dusk).
