Hammer Hill House is an ideal base for a wonderful holiday in Co Sligo, close to beaches and mountains. Well stocked local shop within walking distance. Meals can be had in the local pub the Beach Bar.

The house comprises of 3 bedrooms (1 en suite), 2 comfortable living rooms, a family bathroom, kitchen and a porch looking onto the front garden.

Lots of beautiful walks on your doorstep including Finnure with its rocky shoreline and fabulous views of Benbulben and Knocknarea.

Dunmoran Beach is just a 5 minute drive away.

Large playground and running track located 5 minutes from house. Takeaway available in Ballisodare just 9 miles away while Sligo town offers a large choice of restaurants and entertainment including Hawks Well Theatre and The Yeats Summer School.

Go pier jumping or have a surf lesson in Aughris, one of the Wild Atlantic Way locations recently featured in Joseph Rosendo's Travelscope . Golfing, ( 4 golf courses within easy reach) walking or fishing, climb Knocknarea, have a seaweed bath, visit Lissadell House and Drumcliff where Yeats is buried or Grange Armada Memorial where in 1588, three ships from the Spanish Armada were shipwrecked.

Or just relax with a BBQ in the private south facing garden surrounded by nature and, birdsong. Notes on accommodation: Normal changeover day is Saturday. However all other days can be facilitated. PETS ARE WELCOME BUT AS THE HOUSE IS SURROUNDED BY FARMLAND DOGS MUST BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. No smoking inside the house Heating and electricity are included in the price. Outside: Garden at front of the house, Enclosed garden at rear of house with patio area. Rear garden is sheltered and south facing. Garden chairs, table and parasol are provided as is barbecue. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, outdoor and indoor clothes lines available. Washing machine and dryer are located in the kitchen. Washing powder provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided. Beach towels available on request. Daily maid service available at an extra cost. Property is cleaned immediately after guests' departure. Other: The sitting room adjoining the living room is ideal for children with a piano and comfortable seating. Choose a book from the mini library to enjoy during your stay. Relax in the front porch with your morning paper.

Quiet, beautiful and well equipped

Hammer Hill House is a wonderful place to stay. We loved Aughris Head, the Dunmoran beach, Knocknarea mountain ...

The house itself has lots of space, is well equipped and has a lovely garden. It is a quiet place with good beds - all of us slept well. The Ardabrone-Stores (at 1km distance) offers all you need, you can even get fuel there and the people are very friendly.

Marie, the owner, helped us with a lot of tips where to go. She gave us fresh eggs from her princesses (her hens), even cakes. After a short time our holidays felt like staying with a friend.

Perfect Home From Home

Hammer Hill House was the perfect home from home : clean, warm, nicely furnished and everything imaginable provided. The owner Marie was always available if needed, but never intrusive. The location is very quiet, with beautiful views to the mountains from the rear garden.

The house is an ideal base for anglers, with good rock fishing just minutes from the house at Finnure.

The local pub, 'The Beach Bar' does great food but is usually very busy.

Tobberpatrick rocky shoreline......0.5 miles. See the power of the Atlantic Ocean.

Aughris Pier.....4 miles Pier jumping at high tide! Water safety classes in mid July.
