Waterfall Cottage is a newly renovated property set in its own grounds on the outskirts of the village. It has 3 bedrooms, a king size, a double and 2 singles which are only accessible through the Master bedroom so ideal for little ones.

The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, dining room and cosy snug with Smart TV for cosy nights in front of the log burner or alternatively BBQ on the terrace on a summers evening and soak up the tranquility of the area. The garden has raised levels along one side so toddlers will need a watchful eye on them which you can do whilst relaxing in the hammock.

There are lots of lovely restaurants and pubs in the area but if you like to cook then Sainsburys, Waitrose and Tesco all deliver to the area so you can arrange to have your groceries arrive the same time as you. Alternatively shop locally at Millers Farm Shop in Kilmington on the road to Axminster which stocks fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meats which are all locally sourced. Complete Meats in both Axminster and Honiton again sell all produce from local farms and both towns also have great fishmongers.

A Beautiful Location

Such a nice house in a really good location. Whilst it's only five minutes back onto the main road you feel truly isolated in a beautiful spot in the countryside.

The local pub is within walking distance and Axminster, with all the shops you could need is less than 15 mins away.

The house itself is furnished to a high standard and has a cosy feel with log-burners in two of the downstairs rooms.

The most perfect place to stay!

This cottage is simply idyllic in every way. Inside it is quality throughout and incredibly cosy (which we needed as the temperature fell to -7 outside!) We made good use of the wood burners in the evenings. The dogs loved the garden and the walks through the fields just up the road. Twice we walked to The Tuckers Arms for lunch (Sunday Lunch is a must!) and twice we wobbled back. We re-visited Lyme Regis that we love and The Anchor at Seatown. Definitely booking again for November 2017 and hopefully before that too. Highly recommended.

One of the best holidays in UK

We as a family of 5 had one of the best weeks holiday in such a lovely location with perfect cottage for our needs. We were fortunate to have brilliant weather and made use of the BBQ facilities nearly everyday in the spacious grounds. If you are animal lovers bringing dogs is not a problem. There are lots of cows and sheep on occasions the sheep were about 20 feet away from the Kitchen window. Surrounding areas had some of the most breath taking views. We visited many local beaches which had their own characteristics. From Cliff Walks, Fossil Hunting, Sands of Lyme Regis and the front of Seaton which could have been anywhere abroad. I would advise a stay at The Waterfall Cottage.

The owners were also very supportive anything you needed they responded instantly which was reassuring.

We would have no second thoughts about staying there again. It was a struggle to get the wife and children to leave!!!

Beautiful cottage in a great location

Waterfall Cottage has been beautifully restored and is well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The large garden and the games room was an added bonus. Tracey the owner was very helpfully and informative prior and during our week's stay at the cottage. The neighbors are very friendly and the local pub (10 minutes walk) is great. Could not fault the cottage / our stay in any way. We will definitely recommend to others. Thank you.

Beautiful and comfortable cottage in idyllic setting

Waterfall cottage is a lovely place to spend a holiday, especially with kids. Our children (8 & 10) loved the trampoline, the huge garden (for football), the games room with table football and PlayStation for rainy days (though we only had one). Well placed for Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe and not forgetting the legendary Stockland fair eggathon...

Gorgeous cottage in stunning surroundings

We had such a lovely time at this gorgeous cottage tucked away in the stunning Dorset countryside. The interior was very stylish and comfortable and the owner couldn't have been more helpful from the start to the finish of our holiday. Located in an ideal spot close to many of the beaches and attractions along the Dorset coastline. I would highly recommend Waterfall cottage and we will definitely be back again. Thank you Tracey! x

Waterfall Cottage is a newly renovated property set on the outskirts of Dalwood. A quiet village on the edge of the Blackdown Hills a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

The market town of Axminster is only 3 miles away. It holds its farmers market every Thursday and is home to the River Cottage Canteen and Deli.

Honiton is 5 miles away. It boasts numerous antique shops and its homemade Ice Cream Shop is well worth a visit.

A walkers paradise Dalwood has many footpaths to explore the local countryside. The South West Coastal Path along the Jurassic Coast, a twenty minute drive away offers many more miles taking in the sights of Lyme Regis, Beer and Branscombe to name a few.

The picturesque village of Dalwood has a 12th Century pub. The Tuckers Arms serves great food and stocks local ales and wines from the Dalwood Vineyard. The village also has a community shop and the Jubilee Gardens playground are all a short stroll away.

The cottage itself is situated next to Stonehayes Farm and overlooks the Corry Brook, an idyllic location perfect for a country getaway.

For mini breaks out of season please contact the owner for rates. Minimum 3 nights or 5 nights in school holidays. As stated in the payment terms a 25% deposit is required at time of booking and the remainder is to be paid 1 month prior to arrival date. Any last minute bookings will need to be paid in full at time of booking. The security deposit should be paid along with the final instalment and will be refunded back into your account once cottage has been checked & cleaned. Check in is from 4pm and Check out is by 10.30.
