We have a secure off-road parking bay for 1-2 cars for the sole use of guests.

FREE welcome hamper of food essentials and a bottle of wine for all bookings of seven nights duration.

Well suited to two families sharing, this recently refurbished three bedroom luxury bungalow benefits from a modern designer kitchen complete with dishwasher and washing machine, family bathroom and one bedroom with an en-suite shower room with toilet and basin.

The property is well equipped with TV, DVD and free unlimited wi-fi.

Outside, there is a good size rear garden with a bar-b-que and bench, so that you can make the most of every al fresco dining opportunity. At the front of the house there is a large terrace with a circular bench and seating for eight, from where the views of the harbour and estuary can be savoured.

The bungalow is located three or four minutes walk from Padstow harbour and even less to the Camel Trail.

From the living room, master bedroom and front terrace, you can see the white sandy beaches of Rock, the ferry making its regular estuary crossing and the plethora of sailing craft, speedboats, and fishing boats as they thread their way around the estuary. To the north, it is possible to see the surf breaking on the beaches as far as Daymer Bay and Polzeath. Turning towards the south, you can see the River Camel well beyond the old railway bridge as it winds its way towards Wadebridge. In summary, these are some of the very best views available in Padstow.

The master bedroom has two matched single beds that will be configured to your requirments before your arrival as either a super kingsize bed, or two singles. The second bedroom benefits from a double bed and has the added advantage of an en-suite shower room. The third bedroom has two single beds and there is a good quality double sofa bed in the generously proportioned living room.

Clean linen and towels are provided weekly but guests will need to bring their own beach towels. There is parking available in the secure parking bay, or on the road directly in front of the house. Check in is anytime after 3p.m. and the property should be vacated by 10a.m. on the morning of departure.

About Trevor Brewer

The bungalow has been in our family since 1956 and we have had many happy family holidays in Padstow.

We have a long tradition of outdoor eating and summer (or winter!) bar-b-ques and we have been able to make the most of this in Padstow, whether at the house, or on the local beaches.

We have also had many great days sailing, or buzzing around the estuary on a variety of boats that we have owned over the years and provided you adhere to recognised safety principles, the Camel Estuary is made for watersports enthusiasts of any variety.

We are convinced that once you have been to Padstow, you will find it hard to beat.

Why Trevor Brewer chose North Cornwall

The historic fishing village of Padstow has evolved into a chic holiday destination that boasts Rick Stein's famous “Seafood Restaurant”, as well as numerous other fine eateries. The six traditional pubs in town offer a wide selection of wines, local ales and cider, as well as exceptional, locally caught seafood.

On the opposite side of the estuary, the exclusive hamlet of Rock plays host to a huge variety of sailing and water-sports activities. The legendary white sandy beaches of the region line the shores of the estuary for miles towards the open sea.

The Camel Trail, once the route of the old steam railway, leads walkers and cyclists over five miles on a beautiful riverside pathway to the market town of Wadebridge. Locally, there is also some of the best surfing in the UK.

What makes this house unique

The harbour is a few minutes walk from the house and access to the Camel Trail even less.

Our children, (now adults) and their cousins have equally fond memories of their regular visits to Padstow over the years. As young children they built sand castles on the local fine white sand beaches that are an easy walk from the property. As the children matured, their once drag-along boats changed to sailing days on the estuary, or at Rock. Shoreside fishing became off-shore fishing trips where our legendary 15 minute Mackerel tradition spawned. To qualify, the fish has to be caught from the ocean and onto the bar-b-que within 15 minutes - a summer delicacy with few rivals.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The views that this property enjoys are due partly to its slightly elevated position from the (generally quiet) road at the front of the house but because of this, we advise that children under 5 should be closely monitored and that parents keep the front gates securely shut. Outside: Outside to the front of the property is a large terrace with bench seating that benefits from the morning sunshine and those great views. Flower beds around the property give a splash of colour throughout most of the year and at the rear of the property, the garden is largely laid to gravel for ease of maintenance and easy seating. In the afternoons and evening the back garden is bathed in sunshine, so evening bar-b-ques can be a very pleasant experience indeed. There is ample bench seating for 8 people, so the most can be made of every al fresco dining opportunity. Cleaning / Towels / Linen: Bed linen, a bath towel and hand towel will be provided for each guest and these items will be changed weekly for two week stays. Guests will need to bring their own beach towels. Other: The bungalow is newly decorated with a bright but subtle seaside theme in each room. New floor coverings and soft furnishings throughout will ensure that your stay is comfortable and luxurious. We are confident that you will not want to leave!

Great location for Padstow. Tregenna is comfortable, well appointed and easy to use. It's location is quiet yet with easy access to Camel Trail. Look forward to our next visit.

We had an amazing week in Padstow, the bungalow is such a good location, with a short (5 min) walk to the harbour and even shorter walk (3 min) to the Camel trail. The views are stunning and the bungalow is lovely and fresh with plenty of space.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautifully clean and well presented bungalow which was exactly as described in the details. There was clear communication from the owners with regard to any questions that we had and we felt that they really wanted us to get the most from our stay. When we next return to Padstow, we will look no further than this property and we will hold very fond memories of the tranquil views and the special time that our family spent here.

Bungalow with fabulous views........... is right!

View nice 3 bd 2 bath bungalow overlooking the Camel River and Padstow town. Roomy for holiday use and picnic tables out front and rear for good weather days. Very well located for easy walking into town and the variety of sights around Padstow. Parking is easy on the street or in the rear of the property. This is important as driving/parking in town is difficult.

Coast/Beach:

Padstow and the local area is reknown for its beautiful long white sandy beaches. From the harbour, the nearest beach is about a 10 minute walk and this is where the ferry to Rock will be found at low tide since there is not enough depth of water to get to the harbour at that point. St George's Well is a secluded cove another 10 minutes along the beach, then Tregirls beach 10 minutes further again. If you get the ten minute ferry to Rock, you will have access to more miles of sandy beaches.

Travel:

The best way to get to Padstow is by road but once you are at the house, you do not actually need a car at all. Newquay airport is around 13 miles from Padstow, Bodmin Parkway railway station 19 miles.

Distances:

From Padstow, Bodmin town is 16 miles, St Austell 21 miles, Plymouth 53 miles and Lands End 58 miles.

Further Details:

The nearest Tesco store, which also has a cash point, is a short walk up the hill from the bungalow and in Padstow town (another short walk but downhill) there is a Spar mini-market, a Barclays Bank, Post Office, pharmacy, art galleries and a variety of designer outlet shops. There are six pubs, Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant, also his traditional fish and chip restaurant which is expensive compared to the two other competitors in town but produces excellent quality fare. There is also a good variety of other restaurants and bistros, coffe shops and ice cream bars.

Refundable Damage Deposit A$410.36

Booking Notes:
A 20% reservation deposit is payable within 7 days of the booking if booking directly with the owner. For on-line bookings a 25% reservation deposit is required. The balance and £250 damage deposit should be paid no less than 60 days before the holiday starts. The latter will be returned in full within 7 days after the end of occupancy, provided there are no losses, damage, or excessive cleaning as a result of the guest's occupancy. If the guest cancels or the balance is not paid on time, the booking deposit cannot be refunded. 50% of fees are refunded for cancellations within 4 weeks of the holiday start date.

Changeover Day:
Normally, the changeover day is Saturday but wherever possible, we try to be flexible.

Pets:
We usually allow pets and charge £25 per pet, per week for the additonal cleaning that any pet will create. Please contact the owner for more information.
