A welcome getaway in an inspiring setting

Paolo could not have been a better host. He was helpful and present, without being overbearing. The love he has for his place and his genuine kind demeanor and interest in people makes for a great stay. He went above and beyond, securing reservations, suggesting hikes, and welcoming us to his property. The grounds are incredible and the cabins are exactly as depicted in the materials provided online. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Azores. Location was perfect for exploring the island. Always felt like coming home when the day ended.

Great place all around

Lovely hosts who greeted us at the property and explained all about the island. The location is perfect for getting around the island and only 15-20 minutes to good restaurants. The place itself was all we needed for a great stay, clean and a great location.

The property is beautiful and the view amazing. Our little house was filled with all the amenities and we used the BBQ several evenings to enjoy our deck. After a day exploring the island it was nice to unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy the ocean view. Paulo is a gracious host that provided valuable advice for our stay on the island. Paulo also convinced this Canadian to get on WhatsApp. Thanks Paulo.

Central location at a protected rocky beach

Great launching point for exploring the island, 25 mins to Porto Delgado airport. Direct access from the house to a black lava stone beach with natural protected swimming hole. Property has 4 small cabins with porches, “Glammping” with fresh ocean breezes, very relaxing. Friendly host family. Close to Wonderful hot springs, hikes and swimming spots across the island, and wonderful beef and seafood

Like many, we are from immigrant families, who at the time sought other countries to improve their living conditions.
From Spain and Portugal our parents went to Venezuela, once a growing country, and there they made their lives.
Also like many, nostalgia made them go back to their origins.
But it was in Venezuela that we met Anabel and I, and after many years we decided to create a family.
After most of the children raised, we also decided to immigrate, but in our country, and our choice fell on the Azores, precisely the island of São Miguel, where its residents welcomed us with open arms.
The property was love at first sight, we couldn't do better, nature and sea, silence or the noise of the breeze in autumn and winter, the sound of the waves hitting the volcanic rocks, it's simply unique and unforgettable, and we don't want this place to be just for us, we want to share with others who appreciate nature as we do.
Come, we are also here with open arms to welcome you as the Azoreans did to us.

What makes this property unique

We are located in a very quiet residential area, with direct access to the sea and surrounded by nature.
Staying at our property requires a rental car, as public transport in the area is not frequent.
We respect your total privacy, but we are hosts who are always present at the property, whether it's Ana na Horta, or me taking care of the spaces, or simply always available to give tips on the best places to visit.
We also like to enjoy with guests a glass of wine watching the sea in our spot, if they so wish.
As connoisseurs of the island, we have a lot of information that we make available, and we also help with booking tours to see whales, or canyoning, among others.
We do Sunset and Happy Hours for groups, so you will always be invited to participate (extra cost)
