About Paul Haelterman
This property is family owned and operated by Deborah, Paul and Gordon Haelterman. Lexington is our hometown, we graduated from the local High School. When this beautiful 9000 sq ft mansion came on the market we purchased it, totally renovated it, and split it up into 6 Suites on the first floor and a 3000 sq ft 5 bedroom 2 bath home on the second floor. All units have their own private bath rooms.
Paul Haelterman purchased this House in 2015
Why Paul Haelterman chose Lexington
Its historic and because of its size is a perfect place for a family reunion, wedding, class reunion. There is a banquet room in the basement that can support 70 guests. The house sits on one acre of land, so there is enough space for a very large tent outside. The grounds are beautiful with several flower gardens designed and maintained by a MSU Certified Master Gardner!
What makes this House unique
Its a beautiful Victorian mansion that was built in 1874. Its the oldest and largest home in the Village and a perfect place for a family vacation or a large event. The house boasts a banquet room that can sit 70 people for a meal.

Lexington visit 2018
Beautiful place. Close to downtown and the beach...
Filly equipped . Lots of room.. everyone
enjoyed the visit..
So glad you liked The Lake Huron Lodge.
Lots of space.
The upstairs suite of this house has 4 spacious bedrooms and a separate bunk bedroom off the kitchen. There was plenty of room for eleven adults but our favorite place was the patio. The bathrooms are not en-suite so that was great for our group. The updates make it an attractive and comfortable weekend retreat if you love old houses and don’t mind creaky floors or stairs. We would return.
In July & August there is a live band playing on the beach (paid for by the local business association). From May to December there are special events happening in Lexington. The Village is VERY tourist friendly.
