Picturesque 18th Century Manor House set in 15 acres of parkland with remarkable views over the Clos Mirabel vineyard and the entire chain of the Pyrénées Atlantiques. The Manor House retains its old-world charm and the whole estate is the ideal choice for bringing several generations of family and friends together in great comfort and in an idyllic setting all year round. The south facing terrace and lawns can be used for dining outside during the summer months.

There is the capacity to accommodate a total of 32 guests in the apartments, houses and studios within the Clos Mirabel Estate.
When not privatised the Manor House is available for B&B bookings - rooms are individually priced. Please contact us to book a room in the Manor House or to book the whole house.

The Manor House also provides the perfect winter retreat, it has a wood burning fire, and is beautifully decorated for Christmas and New Year creating a magical festive environment.

We are now able to provide meals with prior notice or you may cater for your own stay (we have a fully equipped kitchen). Outside caterers are also welcome and menus and quotes can be provided.

Perfect in every way!

We stayed for three nights in the Manor House B&B and wished we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was amazing had a great gluten free choice. Highly recommended, will definitely return.

Summer in the French Pyrenees

What a fantastic location, really breathtaking, serene and restful. Could not have had a warmer welcome, breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pyrenees a dream. Customer services excellent, would recommend this without hesitation. Pau and Jurancon delightful places to visit.

Perfect stay near Pau

Just finished a lovely stay with Anne and Andre. The Peach Room was spacious and bright with an up to date en suite bathroom and comfy bed. A small, organic winery is an easy stroll down the road. Just ring the bell at the gate and Manu will come round and provide a free tour and wine tasting. The view of the snow-capped Pyrenees is amazing, looking out over the vineyards and rolling hills to the south. A great value and a wonderful visit. Easy to find, hard to leave. John and Janelle

Fantastic house, beautiful location, great hosts

This is the best location, outside of the city. Fantastic manor, top notch hospitality, beautiful rooms. Don't look for something else, we were truly thrilled about our stay. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were very large and comfortable. Fantastic view on the mountains. If i ever have a chance to go back, it is the only location where i would stay again. Thnaks to the great hosts!! Alexandra

French-Canadian André is a retired diplomat; Ann worked in the travel industry and public affairs. They both have a keen interest in health and well-being which is reflected in their choice of Clos Mirabel and its outstanding location looking over vineyards, out towards the entire chain of the Pyrénées Atlantiques. Ann has a keen interest in psychology; Emily attended French school and finished her secondary education at the international school in Pau. Rachel and Xavier are latest family members to work at Clos Mirabel and are currently running the family business along side Ann and Andre. They bring with them their creative flair and exceptional culinary skills.

Why they chose this property

Much travelled Ann and Andre fell in love with Clos Mirabel and its breath-taking views over 13 years ago. They lived in the 18th Century Manor House for 2 years before undertaking a major renovation in 2005 retaining as many of the historical features as possible.

The original Winery which housed the wine press has now been converted in to 4 self-catering Houses and Studios.

The original house at Clos Mirabel was a very simple Béarnaise farmhouse built between 1732 and 1738. A small barn was added a little later. In 1825, the property was purchased by Jean Mirabel, hence the name, Clos Mirabel. At the same time he bought several acres of land that included the vineyard.

What makes this property unique

Set in 15 acres of parkland the Clos Mirabel Estate offers you a chance to relax in a peaceful setting. Clos Mirabel provides a hilltop haven in Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering Accommodation where visitors feel refreshed and inspired.

Everyone can enjoy the park at their leisure. It offers swings, swimming pool and trampoline for some, exploratory walks for others or simply relaxation in the shade of our oak trees. Admire the magnificent uninterrupted views of the entire chain of the Pyrénées Atlantiques.

The large mosaic tiled pool in the Clos Mirabel grounds is available to all guests from May to mid October. Partly solar heated measuring 12×6 meters and with a depth of 1-2 meters, it offers amazing views of the vineyards and Pyrénées.

Sun loungers, garden furniture and barbecues are also provided for your relaxation.
