The Reed House features its own private dock with three kayaks available for full use. Featuring a 10'x44' elevated deck overlooking Jordan Cove with fabulous sunsets.
The Reed House features an open floor plan with two baths, gas fireplace, central air, washer/dryer and dishwasher. This vacation home can accommodate up to 8 people.
The beach access from the immediate property is open to the public, providing a vast area of shallow water that is perfect for families with young children.
The deck provides a peaceful setting for your morning coffee while watching the native birds start their day. After a long day at the beach, the evening sunsets make for the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Mother/Daughter weekend

We loved the home and location. It was the perfect place to hunker down for the weekend. The gas fireplace made our stay warm and cozy. The views of the water and wildlife were relaxing as we had our mother/daughter time together.

Beautiful and comfortable home!

Our stay was great, I booked this last minute as our previous booking fell through 1 day before our stay. We got lucky! This house was better than where we originally planned on staying. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and everything needed. The views are beautiful! We were so thrilled with this visit and would love to come back

Perfect Waterfront Getaway

We normally stay in Niantic for spur of the moment weekend getaways, but decided to go for a waterfront property this time. The house was immaculate, plenty of room, and steps away from a small beach. Sunsets were beautiful, and the whole stay was exactly what we needed to recharge. Garon was friendly, available, and attentive. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Labor Day weekend with breathtaking views of Jordan Cove.

Garon, was very accommodating to our families needs. Always responded promptly to any questions or concerns that I had. Top notch Host. Would definitely rent again, next time we're in Connecticut. The home is very beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and very clean! The family cooks really loved the spacious kitchen. They were very impressed with the knife set. :) I loved the awesome view from the kitchen sink. The views of Jordan Cove were breathtaking. So cool to watch the tide roll in and out. The locals frequent the small beach along the sandbar. Seems to be a favorite. We saw several people fishing, kayaking, clamming, just hanging out. The water is shallow, so several people brought their dogs out to play along the sand bar. It was fun to watch. As we sat, cozy, on the deck, with all the comforts of home. Amazing weekend. Thanks to our host Garon.

Hi my name is Garon, my wife Nicole and I purchased this property in 2003 and completed a full remodel from the foundation up in 2010. We truely admire this property because of the great beaches available along with the various activities and attractions in the area. This property is special to us and our family as an escape from the hassles of everyday life.

Why they chose this property

The Pleasure Beach community is a unique place where memories are made for generations.

What makes this property unique

Offset from this property is a public beach access known as kiddie beach. This area is a great place to fish for striped bass and shellfishing. A three-minute walk from the house is a small grocery store where you can pick up great sandwiches last minute items, and shellfishing permits from Jordan Cove. There are seasonal fireworks along with seasonal festivals in neighboring Niantic and New London. There is a public access boat launch approximately 500 yards away.
