This up-scale second-floor apartment is located in the best part of Trastevere, near the Piazza Trilusso, one of Rome's most charming neighbourhoods.
It has been newly renovated with sleek modern lines, fully equipped kitchen and luxurious modern bathrooms. The living room offers a fireplace for cozy evenings, and a small terrace off the separate dining room is perfect for outdoor meals in Spring, Summer, and Fall. The apartment is on two floors, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and another double bed, plus a single bed, and second bathroom, on the second floor.
Stroll narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the street too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock to its many pubs and restaurants. The area is also home to John Cabot University and the American Academy in Rome. You will be walking to St. Peters, the Botanical Gardens, Castle San Angelo, and the most beautiful Medieval Church, Santa Maria in Trastevere. Just a short stroll across the River Tiber (Tevere) is the historic centre, heart of ancient Rome, the Campo dei Fiori, Rome's most famous outdoor market, elegant Via Giulia, Piazza Navonna, and all the sites you will want to visit. The unique character of this ancient neighbourhood has attracted artists, expats, and famous Romans.
Our stay was wonderful! All of the communication during the planning stages was great. Help amazing, the airport transfer was spot on. Everything in the apartment was as promised. Having a kitchen and a washer/dryer made our stay so much better than a hotel. Would recommend - would stay here again! Thank you for all the help.
This was one of my best rental experiences ever. We felt extremely lucky that we got connected to Commendable Rentals through our internet search. The apartment exceeded our expectations in size and location. It was perfectly set up for two or more people because it was on two levels. The owner was waiting to let us in and show us around. The main floor layout was great, with a balcony, dining area and generous sized living room. Once we rented the apartment online, we had the added bonus of working with Commendable Rentals. They sent us all sorts of great advice, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and even made dinner reservations. Adriana in Rome and Susan in the head office could not have been more helpful when I left our passports in the apartment and didn't realize it until I got to Venice. They took care of everything, even though it was New Year's Day. I will certainly recommend this property to my friends and I will be using Commendable Rentals for future trips. I have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and have never been treated with so much consideration and professionalism by a property manager.
The description is accurate and exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with another couple, and had plenty of room. The apartment is nicely appointed. The lofted ceilings and many windows create a bright, open an airy feel and you have a front row seat to the bustling street below. The location was absolutely perfect ! Many lively restaurants and shops right outside your door, and walking distance to everything you want to see in Rome. For those who don't like to walk, the taxi stand is close-by. We really enjoyed our stay, and we hope to return in the future.
Having a kitchen and a washer/dryer made all the difference. We ate breakfast in the apartment. Then we were out ALL day and ate a lovely, large meal late in the day. We packed light and used the washer/dryer daily to replenish our clothes. Family of 4 - parents, 12 year old, 23 year old visiting our 20 year old in college in Rome. The apartment location was great. Only drawback is that neighborhood is up late and is loud. It was actually fun - felt like Mardi Gras but may not be for everyone. Alessandro is a great communicator and helped arrange our transfer to and from the airport which went perfectly. Apartment is clean, plenty of dishes, hot water, etc. Would definitely recommend.
For a place in Europe, this is quite a large apartment. Bigger than we expected which was great as we were travelling with 4 adults and an infant. The kitchen has everything needed and the washer/dryer was convenient for us as we stayed 9 days. If you are looking for a quiet vacation, this is not the place for you. The apartment is in the middle of the action. The windows do an amazing job of blocking out the noise, though. We loved being in this neighbourhood. Plenty of good food just outside the door. Also, we walked everywhere. A couple of our day trips we took a taxi to our destination and walked back. (There is a taxi stand very near the apartment.) We would recommend this apartment and would come back here ourselves to visit amazing Rome again.
“Dieci” is so much more spacious than the pictures show, and in the center of lively Trastevere. The apartment fits perfectly with the neighborhood - vibrant and bright, with a truly unique character. I especially loved the high wood-beamed ceilings, aesthetically beautiful while creating a very spacious environment. Everything was immaculately prepared when we arrived, with everything at hand. Every room felt comfortable, even the spacious and modern bathrooms (not a Rome staple), and WIFI worked like a charm. The kitchen has everything, even a full size refrigerator, which I’m told is also not common. Just off the dining area is a charming terrace facing an interior courtyard. Leaving the terrace door open brought a little bit of Rome in, peaceful, with a colorful Roman view. Outside the apartment, you step right onto the cobblestones of Trastevere. I felt like a local! We had a delicious meal of Roman street food at a trendy “hole-in-the-wall” called Pianostrada, a minute away! I would love to stay again!
A special thanks to Alessandro who responded swiftly and graciously at a time of need, at a not pleasant hour. Also highly recommend Elie, the driver to the airport coordinated by Commendable Rentals - he is a gem!
We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your beautiful apartment in Trastevere. Elie offered us a fantastic welcome to Rome by not only being a gracious and generous host but also a great driver. :-). It put our minds at rest knowing he would be driving us to the train station. Grazie, Elie!!! Alessandro also took great care of us. He was at the apartment to welcome us and answer any questions we had. We also got quick responses when we called for answers to additional questions or had an issue that needed to be resolved. In addition, it was a pleasure working with you, Adriana. You and your organization provide courteous and professional services. We appreciate the part you played in making our visit to Rome so enjoyable.
