This up-scale second-floor apartment is located in the best part of Trastevere, near the Piazza Trilusso, one of Rome's most charming neighbourhoods.
It has been newly renovated with sleek modern lines, fully equipped kitchen and luxurious modern bathrooms. The living room offers a fireplace for cozy evenings, and a small terrace off the separate dining room is perfect for outdoor meals in Spring, Summer, and Fall. The apartment is on two floors, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, and another double bed, plus a single bed, and second bathroom, on the second floor.
Stroll narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the street too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock to its many pubs and restaurants. The area is also home to John Cabot University and the American Academy in Rome. You will be walking to St. Peters, the Botanical Gardens, Castle San Angelo, and the most beautiful Medieval Church, Santa Maria in Trastevere. Just a short stroll across the River Tiber (Tevere) is the historic centre, heart of ancient Rome, the Campo dei Fiori, Rome's most famous outdoor market, elegant Via Giulia, Piazza Navonna, and all the sites you will want to visit. The unique character of this ancient neighbourhood has attracted artists, expats, and famous Romans.
Our stay was wonderful! All of the communication during the planning stages was great. Help amazing, the airport transfer was spot on. Everything in the apartment was as promised. Having a kitchen and a washer/dryer made our stay so much better than a hotel. Would recommend - would stay here again! Thank you for all the help.
Wonderfully appointed and situated apartment in the Trastevere area of Rome. It was the perfect starting point to explore all the wonders of this fabulous city. Cafe's, restaurants and boutique shops abound in this area. The nicely stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, large bathrooms, cozy living and dining area made this apartment the perfect place to call home after touring all day.
The accommodations on this trip were used by three adults comfortably but it can easily accommodate 4 possibly 5.
Commendable Rentals (I have used them multiple times) can be highly recommended for all of your stays in many places throughout the world. Their attention to detail and impeccable service is unmatched.
You cannot beat the location of this apartment in Trastevere. All of the major tourist destinations in Rome are within easy walking distance. The apartment was well appointed with everything one needs. Restaurants were literally right out the door. The area is very popular, particularly for nightlife, but closed windows and AC made it okay. We would definitely recommend this rental.
Thank you Adriana for all your patience and help during the planning of our last minute"Spring Break" Vacation. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was perfect for our family of four. We loved having a place to cook our own breakfast and enjoyed being a tourist in the afternoon. Le Levain was our favorite spot for a pastry and cappuccino! Don't skip Palatine Hill, was my high school age kiddo's favorite spot."
This was one of my best rental experiences ever. We felt extremely lucky that we got connected to Commendable Rentals through our internet search. The apartment exceeded our expectations in size and location. It was perfectly set up for two or more people because it was on two levels. The owner was waiting to let us in and show us around. The main floor layout was great, with a balcony, dining area and generous sized living room. Once we rented the apartment online, we had the added bonus of working with Commendable Rentals. They sent us all sorts of great advice, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and even made dinner reservations. Adriana in Rome and Susan in the head office could not have been more helpful when I left our passports in the apartment and didn't realize it until I got to Venice. They took care of everything, even though it was New Year's Day. I will certainly recommend this property to my friends and I will be using Commendable Rentals for future trips. I have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and have never been treated with so much consideration and professionalism by a property manager.
The description is accurate and exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with another couple, and had plenty of room. The apartment is nicely appointed. The lofted ceilings and many windows create a bright, open an airy feel and you have a front row seat to the bustling street below. The location was absolutely perfect ! Many lively restaurants and shops right outside your door, and walking distance to everything you want to see in Rome. For those who don't like to walk, the taxi stand is close-by. We really enjoyed our stay, and we hope to return in the future.
Having a kitchen and a washer/dryer made all the difference. We ate breakfast in the apartment. Then we were out ALL day and ate a lovely, large meal late in the day. We packed light and used the washer/dryer daily to replenish our clothes. Family of 4 - parents, 12 year old, 23 year old visiting our 20 year old in college in Rome. The apartment location was great. Only drawback is that neighborhood is up late and is loud. It was actually fun - felt like Mardi Gras but may not be for everyone. Alessandro is a great communicator and helped arrange our transfer to and from the airport which went perfectly. Apartment is clean, plenty of dishes, hot water, etc. Would definitely recommend.
