About this property

A character, Victorian terraced cottage in the center of Salcombe, only a minute’s walk from the towns shops, restaurants and quays. The property is well equipped and refurbished throughout to a good standard, with wonderful views of the main anchorage towards East Portlemouth and beaches, South Pool creek and Snapes.

Comfortable family accommodation is spread over 3 ½ floors, 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, 1 double room with kingsize bed, 1 bunk room with 3' twin beds and two small upper level bunks 2'6". The family bathroom and utility area are just a few steps down from the ground floor, the back door from the utility area opens into the rear courtyard area with barbecue, table and chairs, and steps which leads directly down to Victoria Quay. The open plan living and kitchen/dining area on the first floor with double sliding doors opening onto a decked balcony and spectacular views of the Estuary. The top floor has the main bedroom, with en-suite shower room, and more fabulous views.

Perfect Salcombe Gem

We loved our stay in Salcombe and the property was everything you see online. Very comfortable and cozy, and the view is just spectacular, even in the off season. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending the property and hope to return also!

Great location and stunning views

Great location overlooking the estuary. Very central to Salcombe which meant even in rubbish weather we could get out to eat. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We hope to stay again.

We were a party of 7 (4 adults,3 kids) and had an AMAZING three days at 31 Buckley St. The location is perfect. Room to drop off and the long stay car park only a short walk away (highly recommend downloading the ringo app to pay.... saves the hassle of returning to the park when your session is up). Lovely open plan sitting room and we had some great card games around the kitchen table in the evening. The double opening doors brought the outside in and the views of the estuary were spectacular. We were very lucky with the weather which meant we spent lots of time on the balcony. From the balcony could see the kids crabbing at the water’s edge. There’s a great bakery 2 minutes from the house and a great pizzeria too. A great place to base yourself, we spent full days in Hope Cove/South Milton (a visit to the beach house is a must), and dittisham/Dartmouth. Book the ferry from Dittisham -Dartmouth for a lovely time in the river. Recommend Rockfish in Dartmouth for family friendly meal. We tired ourselves and the kids out and were in bed by 10pm, bit of noise from the pub and the seagulls, but to be expected for such a convenient location, so if you’re a light sleeper bring earplugs. It didn’t bother us. Highly recommend.

Comfortable pretty cottage with lovely views of the estuary and countryside. The balcony was great!

We spent a relaxing three days at the cottage. It was very comfortable with stunning views over the estuary and countryside. An added bonus was the large sliding doors onto the balcony! The cottage was well equipped with plenty of crockery and glasses. Being so close to the water and centre of Salcombe was great for strolls around the area and an excellent choice of places to eat. We loved our time here.
