Perched on the edge of Hash Point with spectacular views up and down the coast this penthouse is very special and has its own private roof garden with sun-beds for lounging and night lights with tadlacht table for dining al fresco.
The apartment has a living-room with dining table over-looking the beach and sea, comfortable canapes form an
L-shape with coffee tables. There is a second cosy lower terrace for having breakfast and tea. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped with a dishwasher as well as a washing machine, toaster, kettle, microwave etc. A great electric oven with fan and gas hob for the rare electrical cuts!
There are two double bedrooms and room for an extra guest on the clic-clac canape in the sitting area. A beautifully shaped wet-room with wc and washbasin. Stylish Zelliges stairs lead up to the top terrace where there is a second wet-room, wc and washbasin.
The added extra is Tiffytoo (the resident house cat)!
Tifinaghs Dar is an original Berber fishermen house and has been tastefully renovated in the Moroccan style to give four spacious self-catering apartments. Each one has a spectacular view over the sandy beach with its traditional blue painted fishing boats and beyond down the coast of Africa. Each apartment has been equipped carefully to give you an easy and relaxed self-catering holiday. Each apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable salon.
The delight of this village is its old fashioned atmosphere which mixes the true ethnic Africa with hints of Europe and the sixties, its quaint pathways, steps leading down to sea and the numerous restaurants and cafes. There are also shops, post-office, chemist and internet cafes. Regular buses or taxis to Agadir with the airport not far means more holiday time for you. A long-standing welcome to foreigners gives the village a specially cheerful and relaxed feeling. This is a truly romantic location as you sit watching the sun going down fanned by a gentle breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. Taghazout has a whole year round perfect temperate climate with an average of 77°F in winter and 82° in the summer.
Dar Tiffinagh has it's own private front door with each of the four self-catering apartments with their own front door but with adjoining staircase - so if you want to rent the whole lot and have a great time with family and friends then this is ideal.
This was out second stay in this block of flats in Taghazout with the same owner. We used two of the flats this time, and myself and my wife we're based in this one at the top of the block. The listing is very accurate, and the property very clean and well-maintained. The outlook is beautiful, and the big advantage of the this flat is having the open air rooftop to sit and eat or drink. The sitting room also has wide sliding windows overlooking the sea which can be opened wide. The flat itself is highly recommended, but the biggest attraction for us is also how well you get looked after! The owner is very helpful and responsive before you travel. Once you are there you get looked after by amazing local management and staff for whom nothing is ever too much trouble! Would recommend hiring a car via the owner which is very cheap compared to most European hires, and very useful to get a wide variety of local beaches (important for both surfing and non-surfing members of the family!) - also the nearest cashpoint is a neighbouring town a few miles away. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back!
We had a brilliant week in Taghazout staying at the Albatross in the top floor apartment with beautiful views of the beach. We sat out on the roof terrace in the evening to watch the kids play football on the beach and the surfers out til dark. The apartment was very well equipped and the staff downstairs really helpful. We ordered tagine a couple of times from Mr Fantastic which was delicious. Highly recommended from a family of 4!
What could be better than waking to watch the sunrise and see the fishing boats setting off and a camel wandering across the beach.
Well appointed apartment and very friendly manager, Mohammed, with his helper Lehman. They couldn't have done more for us.
Visited nature reserve Sous Massa and Mohamed's village.
Great for surfing or lazing on local beaches
Everyone in the village was so friendly and we enjoyed eating at L'Auberge and Dar Josephine. Would highly recommend this property and we will certainly be going back
On arrival at the apartment we were greeted by a really friendly man, who calls himself Mr Fantastic! He was extremely helpful throughout the holiday. When we entered the apartment we we could not have been more happy, it was bigger than it appeared to be in the pictures. Then we were showing to the roof garden which was completely breath taking! The whole apartment was very clean and the beds super comfortable. The kitchen had anything you could possibly need, so we ate in all the time on the roof top and there was constant hot water. There where only 2 small things that were not perfect but it was not a problem. The Internet never worked but I am sure that was a network problem and the barbecue was a bit worse for wear and we chose not to use it. But on the scale of things these were the only thing I could fault the property on. The location was perfect, right on hash point over looking the surf and only a short walk to all amenities and a 10 min drive to the nearest surf point North of Taghazout. We ended our holiday by getting engaged under the stars on the roof top, which was amazingly romantic. We will definitely be coming back again, can't wait for next year!
Perfect rooftop apartment. Stylish and beautifully furnished and equipped. Felt at home but in a Conde Nast world! Roof terrace much bigger than pictures show and always sunny. Take the tagines: tastiest we had. Cut down an alley at the top of the road to take you to the path that winds on the beach front: two cafés below serve perfect Moroccan eggs, coffee and orange juice. Mohamed and Mr Fantastic always on hand to help. The village is a friendly, dusty perfect size: doughnut stall and women's Argan oil co-operative up the hill are great. Families on the beach, horsemen racing, camels plodding: watch the fishermen going out and coming back with their catch. Then buy and cook for tea. Just perfect all round.
The house is perfectly located very close to the village beach and you have a fantastic view over the sea from all flats and especially from the roof terrace.
We had rent the upper three apartments. All are spacious, well decorated and equipped with everything you need. Mohammed and Lacem were very friendly and always available to help with everything.
We had a wonderful time.
At just 19 kilometres from Agadir, Taghazout gives you all the tranquility of a small village and the accessibility of the large city with all it has to offer. This beachside house in Taghazout has the advantage of vehicle access with spectacular views and a Southerly aspect. Taghazout has a huge choice of restaurants right on the sea-front. Watch the fishermen bring in their catch and buy it straight off the beach! Treat yourself to a relaxing massage with special Argan oil. You can also learn to wind-surf, surfing, beach-buggy, jet ski, quad. Friday market in Taghazout offers all kinds of artisanal goods and is right on your doorstep. The waterfalls at Immouzer can be found by taking the road through the romantic Paradise Valley with its palm trees and river then up into the mountains where you will also find lots of small stands selling fossils and other hand-made products. We are also happy to organise a trip up to the local mud built village of Mohamed where you can learn about the traditional Berber ways which include the special irrigation systems. Relax and have lunch in the palmery.
There are also many beautiful beaches to explore up and down the coast from Taghazout where you can have delicious fresh fish not to mention a visit to the spectacular Atlas Mountains behind the village.
