Much better option than a hotel
Home from home with all options catered for
Thank you for your review, we try to make the cottage homely.
The property was clean and tidy, but close to a main road which could put some people off booking a stay there. The stairs are steep, which for older members of a family could prove a problem as the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, so using the facilities during the night coud be problematic. Apart from that the property was spacious with plenty of activities for a family with young children to do if the weather prevented them from leaving the cottage. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
Lovely cottage in a great location, just a short drive from all the picturesque Cotswolds villages such as Chipping Camden, Stow on the Wold etc, and a stones through from Stratford Upon Avon. The only issue we had were that the Wifi was virtually non existent (the connection kept going in and out) and the front door had a gap between the panels, so the wind blew right into the lounge
Thank you for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We will have a look at the door.
Very comfortable and close to Stratford and the Cotswolds.
Great place to stay. Only issue was the very narrow and steep stairs which meant we could not take our suitcases up there.
Thank you for your review we are delighted you enjoyed your stay.
We note, in the details held by Home Away, that the stairs are steep (as is common in older cottages) but we are surprised you had problems with your suitcases. We have not had this comment previously.
My husband, brother and I just recently spent 6 days at Rose Cottage. Everything about it was just as I imagined it when I booked our stay. Alderminister is a small community conveniently located in the Cotswolds. We made daily excursions in all directions seeing the many sights the area offers. The cottage itself is charming and comfortable and offered all the amenities we needed during our stay. One gem we discovered the first day of our stay was a local bakery called "Knead It". Not only was their bread and other baked goods delicious, the couple that own and operate the bakery were delightful. Enjoying their amazing baked goods and visiting with them was a highlight of our stay in the area! 'Sourdough Saturday', the only day they make sourdough bread, is a must! We highly recommend this property!
Well equipped cottage. Peaceful. Good location for visiting National Trust properties in the area. Also enjoyed Batsford Arboretum. Bourton in Water very touristy and avoid if you don't like crowds
Thank you for your review, we are indeed lucky to have so many National Trust properties within very easy reach.
