Villa Elena is a lovely restored farm house set in the beautiful Cagemi valley overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. The villa is a short drive to the historic town of Caccamo that contains the greatest castle (1160 A.D.) of Sicily and one of the most majestic of Italy. Caccamo has lovely restaurants and friendly locals. The historic city of Palermo and the charming town of Cefalu' are a 30 minute drive. This is a perfect area for artists, walkers and mountain bikers. There are beautiful family beaches nearby for a swim. The villa has four bedrooms, two baths and a pool with wide steps to sit and relax. There is a large terrace, an outdoor barbecue area and kitchen. There is an amazing sea view from every window and terrace. Come and relax and enjoy the land of sunshine - Sicily!

Great value for money

Great value for money but the property is rustic and could benefit from a bit of a tidy up. It is a well equipped property in a good location and we loved the peace and quiet. The pool was fantastic and made the holiday. The town of Caccamo is lovely, with very good restaurants to choose from and very reasonably priced. You need a car to get around and the roads are challenging but the views make it worthwhile. If you would more detail, please let us know! We really had a great time and would come back x

Vacance en famille avec des jeunes adultes

Les ++++ Bel endroit, belles vues, cuisine fonctionnelle, 2 salles de bain, Terrasse et piscine appréciable lors des fortes chaleurs. Nick disponible et sympatique. Les - - - Un peu vétuste, deux chambres sans airco dont une trop petite. La terrasse et la piscine trop vite sales à cause des épines de pins. Piscine non chauffée sans protection pour garder la température. En résumé. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances malgré les chaleurs exceptionnelles.

Horror

All the description did not match the advertisement of the property. The villa seems to be falling to pieces… Very u safe for small children ie 9 yrs old and 8 years old, there was no barrier to the long fall on the side of the property so we were constantly concerned the kids would fall off… We found the description of meeting the agent incorrect according to our sat nab and we ended up getting lost a driving down a steep to rocky road which was very borrow and curvy and l had a huge panic attack thinking we had to return up it which l refused to do and my son got very angry with me. We negotiated with the agent who was very uninterested so we drove back to the small city and retried it again. Eventually, we found the petrol station and the agent met us there. I had no idea that the villa was up a steep curvy dangerously narrow road and l refused to go down the mountain until I had to leave for the airport. I think for others with small children should stipulate the extreme danger off the unfenced path leading to the swimming pool. I think the agent could have met us at a near petrol station avoiding the guests from getting lost. I would not recommend under no circumstances to anyone going there. I came home full of frightening bad thoughts and memories. And we found the people of that area very bad mannered, and unhelpful. You would think they would be happy to receive revenue from tourism but apparently not.having battled cancer, this was my last holiday 😡

Never Again

We arrived in Sicily and drove to meet Josephine on time as per contract. Josephine showed us around the apartment. The first thing that we noticed was the damp smell in the kitchen, however, at first we disregarded this on the basis that it may have just needed airing out. Then, we noticed that the fridge was rusty and looked unclean on the inside. We were also told that the food inside was bought for the children, but on speculation, this was probably from a previous guest as there was a beer in there. We also had a demonstration of the cooker, and although we were shown how to put the gas on, the gas didn’t ignite. There was no attempt to try and problem solve this, but just to shrug it off and continue with the tour. At the time, we didn’t think much of this until we tried to get it working ourselves to no avail. Following this, we saw the swimming pool, as the little girl who was with us has been very excited about this. The pool was murky, green and full of debris as shown on the pictures attached to this email. Josephine explained that it had been raining, and that Nick would come round tomorrow (Sunday) to clear it. This

Amazing

After a very difficult arrival due to plane cancellations. We finally arrived and it was wonderful. Nick and his family were so helpful and saved us on a number of occasions due to travel problems. Best to hire a car as it is the only way to get the full beautiful value of the scenery - we struggles as there was 6 of us and no six seater cars available - hence Nick and all his help. Lots of steps so be careful but enjoy every second - memories forever xxx
