A really sunny week in a beautifully renovated cottage..Every comfort catered for. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and a lovely welcome basket. It was a pleasure to return to this peaceful, quite retreat at the end of each day. Ille-et-vilaine is a beautiful region, our third visit to this area. Sue and Steve were on hand with helpful tips. We will be coming back soon.
Very impressive home overall. Very nicely renovated with meticulous details respecting the style and design of this old stone "gentillhommière". The owners are extremely nice and they will gladly help to make your stay a most pleasurable one.
They have done an outstanding job especially with the woodwork throughout the home.
Very clean, very well equipped and furnished.
The garden is huge and the outside terrasse is simply worth sitting with a glass of wine just gazing at the garden and letting the charm of the jasmine do the rest.
There is a Weber BBQ.
There is a huge flat screen TV with satellite channels. And the Wi-Fi is very fast.
I really have no negative aspects other then the coffee machine, but this is a subjective opinion here: there is a Bodum brewer. For those who like it, then you will be fine with it but we like strong espresso-type coffee... I struggled to find something to criticize...
You have to give it to Susan and Steve (the owners), they deserve a 5 star for this one!!
Where do I start? The photos do not do La Binellerie justice. This is the best place we have ever stayed in France! The house is immaculately kept, and everything you need, the WIFI was an added bonus too. A lovely hamper on arrival was a lovely touch, with local produce to start off our holiday. The beds were so comfortable, with lovely bedding and the rooms very spacious, clean and airy. We felt completely relaxed after our holiday here, there was myself, my husband and 7 year old daughter. The garden was lovely and we were able to sit outside for breakfast and had a couple of barbecues, despite the weather not being fantastic. Sue, and her husband, the owners, live next to the property but are in no way intrusive, in fact it was lovely knowing they were there if we needed any help or advice on the area. The location is spot on, enough in the countryside for peace and quiet but not too far to drive to local attractions (St. Malo/Dinard/Mont St Michel/beaches). Would highly recommend.
We arrived just after 1800 and I must say we were both so impressed with the property and the hospitality we received from Sue and Steve. We stayed in the large House and you could not ask for anything more. It was like a home from home, we cooked in the property a few times and there was everything you could possibly need. This HAS BEEN ONE of the best places that we have stayed in long time. Sue kindly showed us round the smaller garden gite as well whilst we were there and that was also OUTSTANDING. we are both looking to go again in December. IF you book this you will not be disappointed. 5 Stars +
La Binellerie is a late 17th century gentilhommiere, near Miniac Morvan, a short drive from the port and old walled town of St Malo, the seaside resort of Dinard, and numerous beautiful beaches along the magnificent Breton coastline. We are within easy reach of the medieval town of Dinan with it's ancient rampart walks and pretty cobbled streets.Dinan also has a river frontage with many delightful restaurants ,and boat trips up the river Rance. One of the most visited places in France ,Le Mont St Michel is about 30 min drive away, and Cancale, famous for it's oysters is about 15 min drive away. There you can sit in the sun on the sea wall and eat a plate of freshly opened oysters with a cold glass of Muscadet. For beach lovers , there are many to choose from both on the coast and along the river Rance and all of these places offer a huge choice of restaurants, whether you are looking for a lively atmosphere in the old town of St Malo or a more peaceful location by the river.
After a days sightseeing you can relax on your patio, or in our gardens, before venturing out again, or maybe a BBQ?There is so much to do and see here in Brittany, you'll be able to try something different every day.
Golf: There are some excellent golf courses nearby with club house facilities at Golf des Ormes and at the Golf St Malo at Le Tronchet. The nearest one being about 20 min drive away.
There are also links courses at Dinard & St Lunaire.
