Overview

About the property

Beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage in grounds of 5 acres. Sleeps 9+1

Tickeridge Farm is a beautiful 5 bedroom English country cottage - ideally suited for getting together with family, friends and colleagues.

Its setting is perfect and wonderfully private – sitting in a large fenced garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills. It's no longer a working farm but is surrounded by 5 acres of our fields where you’ll find horses grazing.

It lies outside the quintessentially English village of Hanley Swan with its village green, lily-covered duck pond and a very welcoming pub with an open fire. During the restoration of this 16th century house, great care was taken to preserve its original elements whilst incorporating all mod cons.

Massive 30ft kitchen with range cooker, granite worktops, breakfast area, table to seat 10+ with french windows onto the terrace, gas BBQ, outdoor dining and croquet lawn.

Large oak beamed living room with comfy sofas and fireplaces at each end and a TV/games/reading area with a Smart TV- iPlayer, Netflix.

Downstairs cloakroom and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer

Upstairs two bathrooms - with baths, walk in showers and heated towel racks and five comfortable bedrooms: two double bedrooms with kingsize beds, one single bedroom with a double bed and two bedrooms with adult sized bunk beds.

As you would expect duvets with cotton bed linen and towels are provided; electricity and oil central heating is included as is an initial very large basket of logs to feed the fires. There are a number of TV/DVD/CD players, a Klipsch iPod sound dock and WiFi. In the well equipped kitchen there is a range cooker as well as a microwave, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer

An extra fold-up bed (for +1 child); a travel cot and high chair are available.

How fortunate we all were to be able to Christmas here.

A complete success - thank you.

We loved the cosy fires.

Fantastic long weekend stay

  • 5 of 5

Tickeridge Farm met all our expectations and then some! The previous reviews did not do it justice! We hired the farm for a weekend surprise birthday celebration for my husband, and everyone had such a fantastic time. The house was extremely clean and outdoor area well maintained. The little touches like wine in the fridge were much appreciated. Dugald was incredibly helpful and flexible with our big party, and really made our weekend special. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tickeridge Farm nor to stay again! Thank you so much.

The perfect getaway for an early family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

Tickeridge Farm is beautiful - it immediately felt welcoming and we were delighted with the ambience of this lovely old building. The kitchen is bright and sunny, fully equipped and perfect for 9 of us to gather for celebrations (the farm can take more than 9). The living rooms were gorgeous on a snowy weekend - log burners and a lovely Christmas tree really set the mood. The bunk bedrooms are functional and ideal for children and the other 3 are really very charming - they have lovely comfortable beds and are nicely furnished, in keeping with the house. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers and bath gave us plenty of hot water. It was very welcoming to walk in and find the heating on for us and milk and wine in the fridge! There are games and books, wifi and a telephone, a music player and a television - even bubble bath and shower gel is provided - you just need to turn up to find a home from home! And then there's the beautiful Malvern countryside and all of Worcestershire and Herefordshire to play in! Some great restaurants nearby and Malvern is a little gem. We LOVED it!

Lovely house, highly recommend it

  • 5 of 5

Well-kept house with a well-stocked kitchen, generously sized with a cozy wood burning stove and warm throughout with central heating. A very short distance away from the Malvern Hills and perfect for a group of walkers or just as a cozy countryside retreat for family and friends. The owner was flexible and accommodating and keen to make our stay enjoyable.
