Guestbook comments from the owner

Hello Trish and Denis,

We came back to France with beautiful images in mind. The situation of the cottage with a view of the lake is exceptional. We will not forget the hospitality and kindness of Ray and your Dad who gave us all the information that we expected and a thought for the cottage mascot that accompanied us throughout the week fishing, dog T - Bone. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and well located close to Cavan and ideal for fishing for pike and trout. We will return with pleasure.

Relaxing family easter break

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Denis and Trish were extremely accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier and check out later than normal due to our travelling times. This made our journeys so much easier. They were easy to contact and answered all our questions.

The cottage itself is in a fabulous position overlooking the lake. There is nothing better than sitting in the lounge beside the log burner looking out onto the lake. It is very quiet, calm and peaceful and lovely for a break away from the hustle and bustle of life!

The cottage is extremely spacious and very comfortable, especially the master bed! It has all you need for a self catering stay, and is well furnished throughout, yet homely.

T-Bone the dog visited and was welcomed by our daughter each day. The slide and swing set also kept her entertained.

We had some lovely days out to Dublin, the Titanis exhibition at Belfast, Enniskillen, Blackrock- seaside and also to the Cavan local museum and killykeen forest park. The only thing we found was that everything was very spread out and you had to drive long distances- but that was due to our lack of knowledge of the area and Ireland itself.

Our stay has given us a lovely impression of Ireland and we will definitely return.

Thank you Denis and Trish, your cottage is lovely.

Luxury and tranquility by the lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in trinity haven as a group of 4 in February and March for a total of three weeks. The house would have been able to accommodate double that number comfortably! It is kitted out with everything you need, bedrooms are large, setting is amazing overlooking the lake. The living room is particularly big and pot belly stove was nice to fire up. Cavan town is a 10 minute drive away and has a great selection of cafes and supermarkets etc. We really enjoyed our time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Thanks again Denis and Patricia for a great stay.

We loved our stay at Trinity Lake, the house was fantastic, loads of space and clean and tidy. The area is lovely and nearby forest park is beautiful for walks. We will certainly be back for another stay in the future! We also had the pleasure of meeting Dennis and Trish too, very nice people!

Amazing house, Amazing location, Stunning views of the lake with a real country feel.

  • 5 of 5

Myself, my husband our two boys age 7 & 4, my mum and father stayed for one week in JULY 2016. The house Is very spacious with plenty of room. Also the house was very clean and is equipped with everything you need.

The kids really enjoyed the space of the garden and the play set with slide. We enjoyed the lovely walk down to the lake daily such beautiful scenery. My father was able to store his fishing gear In a pad locked shed located right at the house.

We never met the owners Trish and Denis but they kept in touch to ensure we had everything we needed offering advice and keeping us right. We were greated by a man Seamus who was very welcoming and very helpful and the highlight was defiantly T-Bone the dog. My youngest has special needs and T-Bone was amazing with him and very patient. T-Bone followed him everywhere.

We had a wonderful time even tho it was wet weather but that didn't stop us all having fun. We will definitely be looking to book next year for 2 weeks this time if available.

Amazing family break

Lovely property in a lovely area of Ireland

  • 4 of 5

Directions were spot on and very easy to follow, even in the dark!!

Property is a stunner, fantastic space, well decorated and well equipped.

We were in Cavan for a wedding so didn't spend a huge amount of time in the cottage itself, but the time that we did spend there was enjoyable. The location of the cottage itself is great, close enough to Cavan and plenty of other places around to explore if you have the time.

I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a large group in a cracking place.

Cavan Town
Car: necessary

There are excellent hotels, restaurants and pubs in Cavan Town or in the neighbouring places of Crossdoney, Butlersbridge and Ballinagh. The new Radisson Farnham Hotel is just 10 minutes drive away. In Cavan Town the Cavan Crystal Hotel and Kilmore Hotel are 15 minutes drive. Crover House Hotel on Lough Sheelin is just 25 minutes drive. The Slieve Russell Golf and Country Club Hotel in Ballyconnell is 30 minutes drive. Take a leisurely drive to Enniskillen (50km) and enjoy the beauty of Lower Lough Erne followed by a shopping spree or a well deserved treat in one of its many coffee houses or restaurants.

Golf: Cavan has a magnificient selection of courses, for example: the Radisson Golf Club is less than 10 minutes drive, Cavan Golf Club is less than 15 minutes drive and the Slieve Russell Golf and Country Club is only 30 minutes away. For those seeking the less professional challenge McSeain’s Pitch ‘n’ Putt (Tel: 049 433 7138) in Cornafaen is an 18-hole par 3 to par 4 course worthy of a visit and very reasonably priced. It is only 15 minutes drive to Cornafaen.
