Cozy home, beautiful location
We have been coming to Powderhorn bay for years. Can't beat the surroundings. It's on the southern part of the lake but much less boat traffic.
The home was very clean, kitchen well stocked. There are many stairs to get down to the Lake and back up to the house, but I liked the exercise. The only complaint we had was it would have been nice to be able to unload our loads of stuff for the week by using the driveway down below, but the RV that is parked there made it difficult to do so.
Other than that, would totally reccomend this home. Go and Enjoy
A wonderful property
Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. A well-stocked
house with plenty of room, a great dock, and a private location
on the lake. Wonderful feeling secluded.
Clean, neat, fantastic little hideaway!
Four of us stayed for a week in the middle of July and had a great time! The house was very clean, neat, and pleasant. The decks and the waterfront are fantastic, with clear water and a nice dock for swimming. Be ready for 50+ steps to the water, though. Other reviewers mentioned issues with bees (yellow jackets), but we only saw a few and they were not a problem at all.
The location near Harrison is nice (where The Cycle Haus serves up bicycles, beer, and coffee) but don't expect to get your groceries and supplies there.
We only used the three main bedrooms ; everyone seemed happy with the beds. Be aware that the fourth bedroom is in the "basement" and only accessible via an exterior door,
I had a few questions before we arrived and got prompt and friendly replies from Seasons.
I would be very happy to rent this property again!
Beautiful area and nice property
Pros- Lisa was great to work with, the area is beautiful and the deck and dock were great. The fire pit was a nice amenity and we appreciated having beach towels. Cons- we were told not to use left side of kitchen sink, the cabinet underneath flooded twice and my son had to repair/reconnect the pipes. The dishwasher didn't fit properly, the corner cabinets wouldn't close and the bathroom needed a curtain or blind. This property is 40 minutes from Coeur d' Alene, which can be inconvenient and it definitely isn't the property for anyone with mobility issues. Parking area needs work, as at night it is very dangerous. The description didn't state that one bedroom is isolated and cut off from the rest of the house, and we felt the house doesn't sleep as many, comfortably as stated. It was nice, especially the outside, but we wouldn't stay there again.
We are so happy these guests enjoyed this beautiful location! We wish they had contacted us about the flooding below the sink. We discovered a small/slow leak the day of their arrival. Because we did not want to disrupt their stay with a timely repair, we asked if they would be alright with postponing the repair until after their stay. The leak, at that time, was very small and only occurred with prolonged water flowing into the left side of the sink, so we suggesting leaving a collection dish below the sink and primarily using the other side. If we had known it had grown into a more severe problem, we would have addressed it immediately! Please call us with any problems...we always show up! Regarding the room cutoff from the main house, it clearly states this detail in the home's description - "Down one level and separate from the main house is a fourth bedroom with a twin bed". The description also states that two of the beds are pull-out couches in the living area, which can be seen in the photos. We would never try to mislead our guests. The dishwasher wobbles a bit when opening or closing, but works perfectly. The property is quite a distance from town, but again...this is clearly stated in the listing. We wish these guests the very best and hope we can help find a property better suiting their needs in the future!
Paradise on the outside
The decks/dock were unbelievably amazing. The views, and aesthetics of the property were perfect. The inside of the house was well appointed with everything we needed. However, the home doesn't truly sleep 9, as 2 of the beds are in the main living space with huge windows, and the 9th bed is by itself in a locked room below the house. Also, the upstairs 2nd bedroom (not the master)doesn't allow for the door to open all the way. The only other complaint is not being able to park at the house. The bees / flies were pretty bad, so definitely bring bug spray!!! We would highly recommend using the Harrison Water Sports company for boat, jet skis or Pontoon rental. They were amazing and brought the "toys" right to the house! We had a great time and the house was really well appointed. Maybe just a little small for our group of 8, and a little too far away from Couer Dalene.
Had such an amazing time at this beautiful house on the lake! The view was spectacular! There was a comment about none of the clocks being right... we figured that out... it’s because you’re on lake time and time doesn’t exist! It’s whatever time you want it to be 🕰 😉
