About this property

One of a kind retreat -about 60 acres on the Yellowstone River! 4 bedroom,2 bath

Must be seen to appreciate! Yellowstone River frontage with incredible views of the Crazy Mountains. Well appointed roomy one level 4 BR -2 BA log faced cabin/house on about 60 acres with walking paths, pond, river frontage. Remote yet conveniently located only about a half mile (walking distance!) from downtown Big Timber. While a small town, Big Timber affords travelers excellent dining and libations, a grocery store, movie theater, pharmacy, hospital, sports and gun shop, fly shop, gym, great city park which includes tennis courts and a public pool, a golf course, fly fishing on Boulder and Yellowstone Rivers with private ponds and mountain lakes nearby. There are numerous hiking and horseback opportunities in the near by Crazy and Bear Tooth mountain ranges. Lots of options for even more activities if you venture a little farther with Bozeman and Billings each only about an hour away, Big Sky under 2 hours and Yellowstone National Park about a 90 minute drive. Come visit Big Sky Country !

Rustic getaway that's so close to town
We had a great time at property. It was a perfect location near the Big Timber Rodeo and so close to town, so you felt like you were in the country. The two things that weren't fantastic were the amount of mosquitoes and that there's mice about. You can't really do much with either of them since there's been soooo much rain and there's water all around you. Mice, well there's not much you can do about them out there either, but it's not like we saw them, just their evidence. The sunsets and storms with the mountains were beautiful to watch from the property. It was great to see ducks, other water fowl, and deer from the window. The swimming hole in the creek looked so picturesque with the firepit. They have a washer, drier, clothesline, cds to listen to, bug spray, games, books, and everything you need to just stay in and relax. There's no tv, but they have internet. My kids loved their game room. The owners were very nice and quick communication. There was never any problems and everyone said they'd stay there again! It felt so homey and it was fun to explore this rustic property with so much character 💖
