Ideal Location
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to stay in a Lemmon Lodge home with access to a private beach to launch our kayaks and paddle boards. The home had everything we needed for a long holiday weekend. We plan to return to enjoy additional amenities like the community firepit. The home could use new pillows for both bedrooms, and additional towels would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, AnneMarie, for everything. You are a wonderful host.

Nice cabin on Grand Lake
We had a great vacation in this very nice cabin. It has a spacious kitchen and eating area which was nice since my son, who owns another cabin on Grand Lake, often joined us for meals. This location is super! - Close to town, close to the lake and beach, and close to our son's cabin. We loved everything about this cabin except for the bedrooms. My wife has troubles with stairs, so we chose the first floor bedroom. It was small and cramped and had a bunk bed overhead which I did't like. I understand that this is the "kids" bedroom with the adult master bedroom is upstairs, but for us that didn't work. The description read "sleeps 7" but with only 3 beds I'm not sure how this works (the hide-a-bed was not functional) This is a very nice cabin and I don't want to be negative, but I did have a few pet peeves during our stay -- the closets were so full of stuff we couldn't fit our clothes in, the downstairs bathroom only had 2 bath towels and no floor mat for the whole week, the kitchen had no dish towels or hot pads (I ran into town and got some and was reimbursed), both bathroom exhaust fans made a lot of noise and didn't seem to exhaust much (we left the windows open). These were all minor things and we had a great vacation. We would consider this cabin again in the future - its a very nice, clean, modern cabin in a super location.

Amazing location
Property is in an amazing location with many amenities on private property including a sandy beach, fire pit at lake, and a horseshoe and volleyball area. Easy walk to all of towns amenities including restaurants, boat rentals, mini golf and shopping. Cabin itself was charming with mountain themed furniture. It was immaculate and hosts responded immediately to the few questions we had.

Definitely coming back here
Sometimes a little glitch in a trip tells you everything you need to know about who you're working with. Our international trip was delayed on short notice due to passport office delays, so we decided to take a quick, 4-night trip to our favorite location...Grand Lake! We found Eagle's Nest cabin on VRBO, and even though normally we have to book a year out, it magically was available for the nights we were needing! Upon arrival (8 hours drive) we found that the door code wasn't working. We called the owner and she answered immediately & issued a new code - we were delayed all of 2 or maybe 3 minutes. That's the kind of responsiveness I love, but rarely see in my travels!! :) This is the type of owner I like doing repeat business with. Location was excellent, we could hear the river at night and it's an easy walk to the private beach. Also within walking distance was kayak rentals, ice cream, a fire pit for s'mores and all downtown. House was well equipped to cook and grill with options for indoor and outdoor seating. The upstairs balcony is perfect for afternoon happy hour. The fireplace and lots of games are perfect for afternoon thunderstorms. We had everything we needed, even the extra touches that make it feel like a true vacation (paper towels, dish soap, hand soap in the bathrooms). AND, it was clean. I do yoga so I'm reporting in from the front lines of the floor! Cleanup exit steps were minimal which also made it feel like a real vacation. YAY! We'll be back!

Lake house in convenient location to Boardwalk
We had a very nice stay at the Eagle’s Nest Cabin near the edge of Grand Lake. Nice community of cabins with playground and small private beach plus tricky point for fishing and launching a kayak or canoe if you bring one. Rooms and bathrooms were all clean and nice. Bedrooms & Bathrooms are not large but adequate. The home was fully stocked and had one den area upstairs and one downstairs, which came in handy with sleeping babies in the bedroom downstairs. Our host, Anne-Marie, was very nice about calling to be sure all was fine as we were arriving and we had a lovely stay with our two young grandsons, who did not want to leave. Grand Lake was a beautiful area of Colorado, which we had never seen and definitely plan to return. I would recommend this cabin and Grand Lake.

We purchased this property as a dream... to have a place to fill our cup. Something as unique as our family. We wanted to seize the moment instead of wondering "what if.." for one more day. We had to have nature, variety, activity, rest and culture, all in one. We also have always been interested in offering that hospitality and respite to others. We know you need it as much as we do. Relax, invigorate, reinvent or play. Welcome to our Heaven away from home.

Why they chose this property

We've been searching for a mountain property for about ten years. We could not decide between remote acreage or resort town. Then, we rented a VRBO on Shadow Mountain Lake and drove over to Grand Lake Village and wandered onto Lemmon Lodge and knew instantly. It's as if this place found us... as it has found you.

What makes this property unique

Lemmon Lodge at Grand Lake is a one-of-a-kind community. There are other cabins in the community and yet it never has a "busy" feel. There is waterfront access to both the river and the lake with a private community beach, fishing pointe, bonfire pit (provide your own wood), horseshoes and breathtaking views.
You then can walk right to town and enjoy everything this incredible town has to offer. Grand Lake is fiercely protective of it's small town sophistication and does not welcome big box. Quality trumps quantity every time. We challenge you to accomplish all of the activities offered in the town and surrounding nature.
