Lovely property in beautiful Provençal countryside.

  • 5 of 5

A very nicely presented and well-equipped and, most importantly, beautiful property with a lovely garden surrounded by vineyards in typical Provençal countryside.

The pool is a perfect size and the BBQ, ping pong table and terraces add to the outdoor options. The gorgeous pergola, covered with jasmine, is great for meals outside and the kitchen a good size for cooking, with plenty of equipment etc.

There are plenty of things to do nearby, with Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Avignon and Uzes all within 30-45 minutes and plenty of other day trips and activities on offer.

We had a wonderful week with friends and all of us wished we could stay on.

A lovely villa in a charming countryside setting

  • 5 of 5

My family of 7 spent a week at the villa and we enjoyed our time tremendously! There are lots of picturesque small towns nearby which allowed for us to have a truly authentic experience. We loved waking up in the vineyard, bike riding to town for croissants (bikes provided) and exploring the Provence region. We were able to get to Nimes, Arles, St. Remy, Les Baux, Avignon, Orange, Chateauneuf du Pape and Uzes all within about an hour! There were also a number of smaller villages that were closer that we enjoyed tremendously! The outdoor space at the villa was incredible, the pool was perfect and the coveted patio smelled so wonderfully of honey suckles.

Nina was extremely helpful throughout the process, and provided recommendations on where to eat, explore and how to optimize our time. We loved all of the local recommendations, as well as our time in some of the larger surrounding cities/towns.

Only negatives are that wifi signal is weak throughout most of the villa and the layout is not very open so it can be difficult to find people as the villa is very large and spread out. Overall loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Relaxing, luxurious, and charming house in rural Languedoc

  • 5 of 5

We found the spellbinding views of rolling vineyards, the pristine pool, and luxury country house, with its large living and entertaining spaces and all the comforts of home, perfect for a relaxing family holiday. There were too many outdoor perches upon which to relax to utilize fully within the week of our stay. The large kitchen is well equipped for taking advantage of the fresh produce of the region; games and table tennis are available for the kids; and there are plenty of separate living spaces, clean towels, and other necessities. Uzes, about a half hour drive away, is among the most charming towns in southern France. with good cafes, a market, and plenty of atmosphere. Small hilltop towns and good restaurants are found within a short driving distance. We could have easily stayed another week (or two).

One if our favourite holidays ever!

  • 5 of 5

This house was beyond expectation. When we arrived all of our jaws dropped with how beautiful it was inside and out. Six big bedrooms, big bathrooms, two separate sitting areas and an enormous kitchen/diner that lead to an outside terrace and the incredible swimming pool. Our kids and ourselves were obsessed with the pool and if I’m honest, that and the brilliant weather made this our favourite holiday to date. Owner was more than accommodating offering anything we needed, but house was very clean and stocked with essentials already. If your looking for ultimate relaxation, incredible views with a classic French experience this is it! Already making plans to go back next year!

Magical

  • 5 of 5

This is a very beautiful house with an extraordinary atmosphere. Set in vineyards in a tiny village, it is remote yet very close to Nimes, Pont Du Gard & all the Unesco Heritage Sites around there. It's also WINE COUNTRY - Chateau Neuf du Pape around the corner and a fantastic independent vigneron in the village (and I mean fantastic - try the reds and the pudding wine). The house is completed to a very high spec with a beautiful kitchen/dining room opening out onto a lovely terrace. The bedrooms are very romantic - two of them open onto a terrace/balcony. We arrived, 2 exhausted parents, 3 children and a great auntie and had a lovely and unusually restorative time - which we think due to the wonderful terroir as well as the beauty of the place. nb. Local shops are good - great butcher, baker, good alimentation & not too far from supermarkets for those boring 'big' shops.

Living the dream!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely sublime stay at the Mas Devereux! I'm not sure where to begin - it surpassed my expectations and was the most relaxing 5 days imaginable. The village is charming and very quiet and the house is completely private - you don't need to worry about making noise, nor hearing noise from elsewhere. Possibly the best thing about this villa is the sheer number of private areas where you can chill out and read a book or have a private chatter. There's the enormous living room where the kids hung out and where there is a library full of novels to worry, then there is the cave like living room with comfy sofas, then there is the enormous kitchen, with a professional 6 ring stove where you can whip up meals for parties, with its own comfy sofa area at the end.

Then the dining areas - the beautiful dining table underneath the pergola, with an impressive bbq, looking out over the VINEYARD!!! yes...a vineyard with the most delicious black grapes to sample. But I think the fig tree made it for me - literally falling off the tree, I had fresh figs every day, for breakfast, lunch and supper.

Oh yes, and then there is the enormous, beautiful pool, with loungers.

I wouldn't hesitate to book this villa - this is not an ordinary holiday rental - Nina has made this a beautiful home, with all the associated benefits or her kids toy collection, the ping pong table, 7 bikes to cycle down to the bakery, pétanque set, bat and ball set. Stop looking, start booking!
