Walnut Tree Cottage was originally the village school house built in the 1870's and now a comfortable and newly converted home situated in the Kent Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within walking distance of the village supermarket, pharmacy and 2 good pubs, this is the perfect place for a family holiday or weekend getaway with friends. Please note our lovely garden is shared with the guests in the cottage next door. 5 mins to Canterbury, 60 mins from London and 27 mins from the Eurotunnel exit. 10% discount for weekly bookings.

Could Not Fault It 🙌🏼

We had an amazing stay at Bridge and enjoyed meeting James immensely. The property is as lovely as it appears online. Thoughtfully equipped, clean, comfy, spacious and with lots of extras to make staying easy - ie condiments, oils, foil, washing tabs etc which are really helpful when traveling, esp from overseas. Beds were great with plenty of linen choices for all temperatures. Would not hesitate to return or recommend. Brilliant!!! J & G. NEWCASLTE. NSW. AUSTRALIA

Incredibly well stocked cottage with everything you could possibly need. Immaculately presented and well located in the lovely village of Bridge. Canterbury very close by and some good pubs in the village.

Central Locale to Canterbury/Dover

This was a great property that was perfect for my family during the half term break. Its location is ideal for day trips to Dover, Leeds, Canterbury, the coast. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage, extremely well equipped. Our dogs loved the garden. Games room great fun for the kids. Beds super comfy and lovely linen. Had a wonderful time.

Fabulous and stylish

This amazing "barn conversion" is not to be missed. The property is fabulous, and superbly presented. It has everything you could need, and is put together exactly how it should be. If you have a dog, or want country walks in the Garden of England, this is the place. Bridge is a fabulous little village, with amazing dining options. James is a perfect gentlemen and could not be more helpful. This place is a solid 10.

Hi, I'm James and this is my wife Ayako. We have two kids aged 12 and 14. I was born in Kent, grew up in London, worked in Japan for over 20 years and moved back to the UK in 2012. I've sailed a lot over the years but recently do mostly long walks around the UK and around Bridge. We enjoy camping and staying in other people's holiday lets in the UK and France. I used to spend 14 hours a day in a suit but now I'm either digging, planting or painting a wall !
