I am currently a teacher and my husband is retired. I plan on retiring next year and look forward to spending some time with my grandson. We have 2 pugs, Maggie and Marley. They love people and are so friendly. Currently, we live in New York and enjoy our visits to Little Harbor.
Margaret purchased this Resort in 2016
Why Margaret chose Ruskin
We came down last year to Little Harbor and fell in love with the area and all its amenities. We decided to purchase a unit so we can come down any time and share with others. We talk about little Harbor as, "the hidden gem," to everyone.
What makes this Resort unique
Little Harbor has a private beach to spend the day just relaxing and having lunch at either one of the waterfront restaurants. There are sport courts and a workout room. If there are children, they can enjoy the playground area. With two heated pools and spa, there is something for everyone. I especially like taking morning walks around the resort. In a short drive you can spend hours just shopping, going to the beautiful public beaches, and enjoy the rides and thrills at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Amusement Park. At night we sit on the balcony, enjoy the views and unwind. So much to do and see when you stay at Little Harbor!

My children and I had a great week at this property. The property manager, Warren, was valuable for information. The unit was neat and tidy with updated décor. We met a lot of nice families and the kids all had a great time in the pools. We were able to save $ by eating breakfast and several other meals in with the stovetop and toaster oven. The two restaurants on site were great! This is a great place to go if you want to avoid tourists spots.
This place is quite literally a hidden little gem! It was absolutely perfect! Quiet, set back from the hustle & bustle and EVERYTHING you need is right there! (We did not leave the resort!)
Pools (multiple), private beach, restaurants, tiki bar and laundry all on-site!
Very easy to communicate with Margaret and everything was as advertised. The unit is adorable, clean and includes all of the basics to cook your own meals!
I will absolutely be back here!
quiet little gem
the property is a quiet place to relax, but it was also close to a variety of activities and experiences.
Spacious apartment with a big balcony in a quiet suburb with excellent sport facilities on the sea!
The apartment was larger than I was expecting, great big balcony. Tennis courts were great, pools for the kids, lovely dock area by the sea to exercise on in the morning. Good gym , open nice and early! Apartment was equipped well. We didn’t cook many dinners there as pots and pans not very practical! But we used the kitchen everyday for breakfast . Ruskin is a cute , quiet town with a fab drive in movie place. Very very good value for the money!
Our Warm Get Away
We had a lovely week at Little Harbor. It was even better than we expected, plus the weather was terrific for early February. It was decorated so cute and very clean. Would have liked a lid on the toilet seat! LOL 😂, but everything else was very nice. Thanks for a quiet get away.
Ruskin- The little town Florida forgot about
First of all, let me say we were in Ruskin when the “polar vortex”:was going on back home, so it was WAY better than home, but chilly for Florida. That being said , we made the best of it and found things to do anyway. However, there is NOTHING to do either in Little Harbor resort area or in Ruskin. We made day trips to Tampa, St Pete and Sarasota each day, (abt 45-60 min) so plan for that if the weather is not beach friendly. The resort area is Huge with 2-5 story buildings and single family homes. Lots of building going on. But within that, there are only 2 restaurants. - a dive bar - Hooks, and a mediocre Sunset Grill Rest. (Hence the name!) Everything else is in Ruskin abt 3-4 miles away. And those restaurants are just so so.
Now about the room..... it was beautifully decorated with 2 comfy queen beds and 2 woredrobes for storage. A huge TV and small couch, pub chairs and small table as well. Patio is nice, but no view of anything. The kitchen is actually a hallway turned into galley kitchen. Don’t plan on cooking, not enough equipment or utensils. The bathroom, which is at the end of the kitchen, is very small. The door barely clears the toilet bowl. But it came well equipped with soap and shampoo and dryer. I think the room would be tight for 4 people all at once. But the beach is lovely and the view is beautiful. I think if they beef up the area with more restaurants and a few stores it would make things far more convenient . If you want solitude, this is your place.
