A tastefully furnished apartment with stunning views, situated on the coast of Acitrezza, 500 meters from the sea. Acitrezza lies halfway Catania and Acireale. Casa delle Alohe is located on the first and upper floor of a recently built villa with a magnificent view. The bright living room has access to the terrace with sea view, furnished with a rocking chair and a table with chairs. Stairs lead to the roof terrace with deck chairs and a 360-degree view, perfect for sunbathing.
Casa delle Alohe consists of a bathroom with shower, bidet and toilet, living room with a comfortable sofa, an open kitchen with dining table and a double room with stunning sea view. The presence of central heating and the sunny, south facing, position makes it ideal for a stay at any time of the year.
Acitrezza: Acitrezza is a charming fishing town, still relatively untouched by tourism except during weekends when it fills up with people from Catania in search of the sea. In summer Acitrezza becomes more fashionable and busy, with some nice bars and many restaurants. Near Acitrezza are the volcano Etna, the baroque town Acireale, the picturesque fishing village Santa Maria La Scala and the city Catania with its beautiful squares, main street Via Etnea (shopping area) and ‘must see’ fish market. Taormina is a short drive up the coast and Siracusa is about an hour's drive away.
We have been with Homeaway since 2006, proposing houses that are able to unfold Sicily's colours and charm at best.
Houses with quality furnishing in unique locations, with incredible views or with a pool, always accurately selected in order to satisfy our main wish: to see you falling in love with Sicily just like we did.
We provide you with transparent information and true pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. We will advise you as much as we can about travel info, transfers and car rental.
Dinners in villas and other extra services can also be arranged. Finally, our prices are final rates! There are no hidden additional costs. We are flexible with your arrivals and departures and if you need a late check-in this is usually possible.
Super apartment in a great location. Guiseppe and Jano were perfect hosts and the apartment was exactly as described, very clean, well maintained and well laid out. The outside space in particular is wonderful, with great views. We found the location was ideal for visiting the places we wanted to see, being quite 'central' to explore the east coast of Sicily. Aci Trezza itself has a good selection of restaurants and places to enjoy a gelato! Would recommend without hesitation!
The apartment is set high up the hill from Acitrezza village. It is exceptionally clean, really well decorated and furnished and very secure, everything is there that you need to self cater. The sun terraces are huge with sun loungers and even a swing and the all important umbrella for shade. The owners are fantastic, we had a problem with the air-conditioning unit which was fixed within 24 hours of our phone call, nothing is too much trouble for them and their little touches of welcome are much appreciated.
You do have to have a certain physical ability to reach the apartment from the road unless you go out in the car all the time. We looked upon the walk as part of our fitness regime to walk off the pizza, pasta and of course the wine. AciTrezza has many restaurants serving A la Carte and pizzeria type menus. You need a car to get to the main supermarkets which are a short drive away, we visited at the end of August beginning of September and found the traffic to be quite heavy.
A lovely place to stay.
The best ever holiday rental that we have stayed in. We visited in September 2016 and enjoyed very moment of it. We loved the laid back feel to this little fishing port which although small has got everything you need. We enjoyed our walk to the village each morning just as it was coming alive and then continued on around the port. Once you had that done each day, you could enjoy all the lovely delicious food without feeling too guilty as you burn off those calories on the way back up that hill to the apartment. There are lots of lovely towns to see around the area and we made great use of the car. We drove to the base of Mount Etna and that was an amazing sight on a lovely clear day, The Apartment is just the ideal base with amazing sea views. If you don't have the energy to do very much, then you could happily sit on that lovely patio all day. The furnishings are not what you would normally see in holiday home, this apartment has style and the lovely feel of being uncluttered, bright and airy. Our hosts were so nice and friendly and responded quickly when we needed them one day as we were using too many appliances at the same time and caused a power outage. We would recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone who has plans to stay in this region. We certainly will be back one day.
Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The views from the 2 terraces are stunning. Situated a short walk in to town where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Took us a while to find it so maybe the directions would benefit from more detail/map. Highly recommended.
Amazing apartment, could not fault it in any way. Calm elegant interior, very comfortable bed which is so important. Masses of storage space in huge wardrobe, and chest of drawers + large shoe cupboard ! There were two large terraces with amazing views.
The owners were so kind and friendly. Thank you for the delicious bottle of red wine, and superb bowl of fruit.
We also enjoyed several evenings, in the lively harbour village, at the bottom of the hill, with its many restaurants etc,
An impressive start to our Sicilian holiday.
We would not hesitate to return, and recommend to friends and family.
Our thanks to our hosts.

Property is as advertised, very well maintained and clean, beautiful views. Overall a really nice property and owners could not have been more accommodating, they were really really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Main resort itself is around 10/15 min walk with several restaurants around with a couple of nice cocktail bars also. Supermarket is about 5/10 min drive with everything you may need .Etna is really worth a visit but you need to wrap up as it is very cold and it is not cheap to get up to the top, we had a lovely few hours there however though.
Acitrezza is an excellent base from which to explore Mount Etna and its surroundings. The villages of Etna, such as Trecastagni, Zafferana Etnea and Randazzo, are famous for their ancient lava flows, the architecture of their seventeenth century churches, their delicious local produce and the hospitality of the villagers. Situated 700 metres above sea level, they are a favourite retreat of the city dwellers who, in summer are in search of cool, fresh air, while in winter are in search of snow for skiing. Few people are aware that Etna is a popular location for skiers in winter. On some glorious days in winter, it’s even possible to ski the frozen slopes in the morning enjoying a wonderful panoramic view of the Mediterranean, and then, the same afternoon, go and sunbathe on the beaches below!
