A stunning luxury penthouse with roof terrace access from every room

This is a beautiful apartment in a modern building with a totally private wraparound roof terrace which offers amazing views of London. The apartment is incredibly light with floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors in all rooms which provide direct access onto the outside terrace. The apartment is beautifully furnished and the walls are covered in artwork from around the world. There is a very large open-plan living area with three sliding doors onto the outside terrace. There is plenty of comfortable seating and circular dining room table. The kitchen area is equipped to an exceptionally high standard with built-in microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer etc. There is Sky Digital TV and wireless internet connection throughout the apartment. There is also a built-in iPod docking station with speakers mounted in the ceiling of the living area. The two bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes and direct access to the terrace. There is a bathroom with shower and heated towel rail.

This stunning luxury penthouse apartment is based at the heart of the historic area of Limehouse and is only 3 minutes walk from the Limehouse station with direct trains to Oxford Circus (25 mins), the Tower of London/Tower Bridge (5 mins), the Olympic Park (16 mins), and London City Airport (15 mins). There is a bus stop outside the apartment block from where you can get buses to St Paul's Cathedral (15 mins) from where you can take a short walk across the Millennium Bridge to the Tate Modern. You can also take a bus directly to Trafalgar Square and all the attractions of the West End of London.

One of the most interesting and historic areas on the River Thames - Wapping- is only a 10 minute walk from the apartment. There are multiple historic pubs and fine restaurants in this fascinating area of the city. From Wapping it is a further 15/20 minute walk along the Thames path to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, and from there you can continue your walk to the lively area of the Southbank with its many restaurants and cultural attractions, including the Tate Modern, the Royal Festival Hall, the British Film Institute, and the National Theatre.

If you walk the other way along the Thames path from the apartment you will reach Canary Wharf after about 10 minutes with its striking modern architecture and huge shopping malls with multiplex cinemas. From there you can continue down the Isle of Dogs and walk under the river itself through a historic pedestrian tunnel to Greenwich, home to the National Maritime Museum, the Greenwich Observatory, and the Cutty Sark.

This is a fantastic central location- only 3 minutes' walk from Limehouse station and yet when you are up in the penthouse, either inside the apartment or sitting outside on the huge roof terrace, you feel hidden away from the inner city life happening on the streets below.

Just returned from spending a week at James's apartment.We visit London every year and have stayed in many hotels and apartments,James's apartment is definitely top of our list.

The moment you enter the apartment you are impressed and go "wow" the spaciousness and light is amazing.

James met us and showed us around and explained the working of appliances and when he showed us the enormous balcony with the profusion of plants and excellent seating area he jokingly said "I doubt if you will be sunbathing "as there had been an horrendous storm in London over the weekend, yet on two occasions we sat out in our Tshirts with a few bottles of beer and the late afternoon early evening sun was very warm with the bonus of a superb sunset.

The penthouse was spotlessly clean and well appointed and very comfortable. after the hustle and bustle of London, it is like walking into another world,a real oasis.If you like music connect your iPod or iPhone to James's bose system as the sound is awesome.

It is also very convenient having the DLR and bus stop on the doorstep and Sainsbury's local on the ground floor.

As we visit London every year we decide before hand where we want to visit as not to overdo it.We always visit one museum and on this occasion we went to the Imperial war museum, very impressive the holocaust exhibition on the top floor was very moving.

Spent a day on the river, walked from the apartment to Canary Wharf via the Thames path which is a nice walk in itself and bought a rover ticket and hopped on and off the Thames Clipper at the main sites ie, The Tower,London eye, Greenwich and the O2 dome, well worth the money.

Went to Stratford on the DLR and visited Westfield shopping centre and bought a picnic to eat in the Olympic park.

Spent Sunday morning in Westminster for the Abbey then had Sunday lunch in the Greyhound pub in Youngs St. just off Kensington High St. excellent Sunday roast.

We were fortunate with the weather and dined and wined well and also slept is an excellent well-located penthouse and would definitely recommend it and hopefully, will return in October.

Great comfort and well appointed

James was an excellent host. His flat was extremely comfortable and James was most accommodating. The lovely well furnished flat in a newly constructed building had all the amenities to ensure a delightful stay. Furnished throughout with the best of taste, including fine artwork and a well appointed kitchen. The deck afforded a great view of the city. With doors and windows closed, you could not hear any noise from the busy street below. Great location-easy access to the DLR and within walking distance of great food, music and art. i highly recommend this flat and compliment James on his taste and his commitment to guest satisfaction.

Gem of a property... Family loved it

Outstanding facilities, service, value & most important to our family... The Penthouse was immaculately clean.

Total service was 100%... From the meet n greet with James, the owner to the array of items within & outside the property. Best advice I can give you about this property is to take your clothes only... everything else you will ever need is provided.

Séjour très sympathique

L'appartement est très agréable avec sa terrasse mais aussi très agréablement décoré. Le propriétaire est sympathique et attentionné ce qui ajoute du charme à ce lieu. En effet, connaissez vous des propriétaires qui vous préviennent des difficultés que vous allez rencontrer le jour de votre depart concernant le DLR?

Le quartier est quelconque mais très bien desservi par le train et les bus.

Nous avons fait de belles balades dans les quartiers proches.

Absolutely great flat with huge terrace

We can only agree with the previous reviews. In particular the review in Aug. 2015 summarizes everything optimally so that we will not repeat everything here.

It is a beautiful and modern flat with a great terrace, huge glass windows, perfectly located to visit the city and only a couple of minutes away from DLR Limehouse. Even a supermarket is located in the same building.

James was very nice and responsive and answered all questions promptly.

We stayed as a family for a week with 2 children and really enjoyed our stay. We can 100% recommend the flat and would rent it again when visiting London.

Beautiful flat, perfectly located for city visit.

We loved it. James, the owner, met us when we arrived and gave us a really good orientation. Want to be succinct but probably fail, because could go on for many pages. James's flat is modern, well kept, in nice, secure building - it is a great location for sightseeing day trips around London. The property description on the website is understated. Walls of glass on 5th floor (6th floor in US) give great views of landmarks' lights to west. The terrace is big bonus, and flat is way way way above what any hotel might offer. Fully stocked, well priced grocer and no fee ATM on ground floor. Got fresh pastries every morning and nice wine selection for unwinding in late evening in the flat after hard charging sightseeing days. Short walk to Thames and couple of historical pubs (the Grapes; Prospect of Whitby - and others we didn't get to in this part of town). DLR tube Limehouse station and the bus stop short walk away and river transport at Canary Wharf short walk east. The Oyster card makes it all so simple. Alternative to those tourist sightseeing buses: take the 15 bus from Limehouse (double decker, so sit on top) to St. Paul's Cathedral and explore, then get 23 bus (sit on top again) to Marble Arch, goes down Piccadilly and Oxford Circus - a great sightseeing ride. Catch 15 bus from Trafalgar Square back to Limehouse - so nice. Some of the things we did from James's penthouse base: Greenwich - spend the day there (but only take DLR to Island Gardens stop and then walk the pedestrian tunnel under Thames to Greenwich) take boat from Greenwich pier to Embankment Pier right near Big Ben; the evening Jack the Ripper Tour is ,from Aldgate area, 15 bus west to Aldgate and back is nice; Tower of London (DLR west to Tower stop); tube or bus to all the museums in Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury area; tube or bus all the museums (especially the V&A) in Kensington area; walk the south bank area; visit as many old pubs as you can for lunch; skip the pricey Sherlock Holmes museum, but visit the gift shop; do Brick Lane on Sunday which is busiest and most fun (access from Aldgate). We found James's flat to be the ideal place for a sightseeing stay in London. We took tube in from Heathrow and have to change several lines: simple, but dragging suitcases up and down stairs a hassle, so we took hired car back when we left. The car company is right across the street for the flat. 4 + luggage 40 pounds. We would definitely recommend this superb penthouse to a friend or relative!

This luxurious penthouse apartment with a large wrap-around roof terrace is ideally positioned to take advantage of all that London has to offer. The apartment is only 3 minutes' walk from Limehouse station which has regular trains into Central London (25 minutes to Oxford Circus), the Olympic stadium (16 minutes), Canary Wharf (5 minutes), and Tower Gateway for the Tower of London and Tower Bridge (5 minutes). The area of Limehouse itself is on the northern bank of the River Thames which is only a few minutes walk from the apartment- you can enjoy leisurely lunches and dinners in the many pubs and restaurants along the riverfront. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A MINIMUM 3 NIGHT STAY POLICY.

Of particular note is the exceptional roof terrace which wraps around the apartment- all rooms have direct access onto the terrace (85 square metres in total surface area).
