About this property

Serene 4 season lodging. Located between the Ausable River and Jay Mountain, 5 miles from Whiteface Mtn, High Peaks and 20 minutes from Lake Placid. The cabin rests within 7 acres of the Adirondack park. A private trail up Jay Mountain brings you to stunning views overlooking a pond. Tranquility and natural beauty surround you.
The White Moose Cabin has a fully equipped kitchen and informal dining area. Big stone fireplace in the living room, TV, Wireless internet is available throughout the Cabin and surrounding. The first floor consists of a full bath with shower and tub as well as two bedrooms, including queen size beds. The second floor has two bedrooms, queen size beds, half bath, electric fireplace and great mountain views. Total of 9 people can sleep in the cabin.
Screen porch provides great relaxation while enjoying the mountain views, listen to the whisper of the tree leaves and the songs of the birds. BBQ in the backyard, and the chairs around the fire circle are the perfect place to enjoy the clear Adirondack sky.
The cabin is pet friendly; no smoking.
The White Moose also has a game room equipped with magnetic darts, ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball, and many brain games. There is a television (no cable channels), and an HDMI cable is provided for your device. Strong wifi internet throughout the house.
World-class skiing at Whiteface Mountain is only five miles away. High Peaks hiking trails are less than a half hour from the cabin - Jay Mountain trailhead is only 6 minutes by car. The White Moose cabin is located on the AuSable River – perfect location for trout fishing. (Fly fishing shop within 10 minutes drive.) The 500' private road serves four homes. Our charming caretaker lives in the barn next door. Around the corner from Adirondack Mountain Cafe and delicious Ice Jam Inn (walkable).
Ironman competitors and fans will love this location on the bike course.
For a vacation away from home, but feels like home, enjoy the White Moose.

Eclipse viewing

The property was a perfect place to experience the solar eclipse totality! The common area and kitchen provided space for my family to relax, stay connected by WiFi, cook and eat comfortably. Lots of light and the Adirondack decor throughout the house matched the feel of the outdoor space! We enjoyed the porch, fire pit (wood available) with chairs, the trail to the beaver pond and just the feeling of privacy. Our time here was “easy”. The owner has thought through how to make a visit to his place special in a rustic fashion!

Ski trip with family and friends

Perfect place for a ski trip with family and friends. The game room was great for the kids and the property was very close to Whiteface we’re we skied. The grilling area outside was sheltered and covered so grilling during a snowstorm was no problem! The driveway was also plowed several times, making it stress free to get to the slopes on a powder day. Great trip. Big enough for two families of 4 to spend a week together comfortably!

Great Stay!

Great proprety, well equipped, game room was a success with the kids. Gas fireplace to relax after a day of skiing. BBQ was also useful to make diner. Close to Whiteface mountain. Host were quick to respond to inquiries. Will definitely book again!

Great place for ski/family weekend

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was a great location, within close proximity to Whiteface Mtn and the village of Lake Placid. The kids really enjoyed hiking in the woods, walking down by the river, and investigating the beaver dam. We were able to make a fire and enjoy the beautiful Adirondack scenery. Quiet area, close to Whiteface

Easy to find off 9N, flat driveway, cleared of snow. we enjoyed playing ping pong and board game and watching TV one night. Bathroom is spacious with nice stall shower. Towels on beds decorated in shape of a bear...cute touch. Large dining table, and good amount of plates, flatware, glasses
