We have had many happy times in Chalet Orlndo and hope you have the same.
The Chalet is in a quiet cul de sac surrounded by woods and meadows, situated in one of the most popular areas of Les Gets, en-route to the Chavannes ski, golf, cycling and walking area.
We have arranged discounts on ski hire and purchases. Details available when booking.
The Chalet looks towards Mont Chery in one direction and across the valley to the point de la Turche in the other. Three of the bedrooms have balconies with views across the valley and to enjoy the sun setting down the valley behind the Pic Du Marcelly.
The dining room has a large French door which leads onto an extensive terrace and decking with further views down the valley and affords outdoor dining all day and night long.
The chalet sleeps 8 to 10 people and is built to a high quality in the traditional alpine style with wood walls and beams. The chalet has a large cosy living room with three comfy sofas nestling around a traditional log fire. There is under floor heating and wall heaters throughout the chalet.
The modern kitchen has everything you would expect including oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine.
The Chalet is rented as a whole and is perfect for skiing holidays and wonderful for summer holidays for families or groups.
I am available for any questions you may have about the chalet and advice about Les Gets generally and Brian or Karen are available to greet you and provide any help you might need. They are available between 4pm and 11pm. Outside of these hours, you can let yourselves into the Chalet and contact Brian & Karen if you have any questions.
The chalet is provided with WiFi, French and UK TV, DVD player with a choice of films and a music system and is strictly non smoking.
On the ground floor there is a garage (not for cars) with table tennis, together with a warm room which houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.
High quality bed linen and towels are provided.
There is plenty of car parking space immediately outside the chalet. It is 10 minutes walk to the village or you can take the ski bus which stops nearby or, you can walk up the road, pole through the woods and get up onto the piste. You can also ski back off piste when the snow is good. In the summer you can walk to the Les Gets lake through the woods. In the evenings, there is a paid taxi service to and from the village, priced at 2€ a head and operating between 7pm and 11pm.
Les Gets itself boasts 120KM of piste including the locals mountain ‘ Mont Chery’ and is a gateway to the magnificent, extensive and varied 650KM of piste in the Portes Du Soleil in the winter.
In the summer Les Gets offers tranquil pastures, meadows and lakes and superb views across the Alps to Mont Blanc to explore and enjoy; or for the more adventurous it is a famous Mountain Biking area and was home to the MTB World Championships. For road cyclists the Tour de France comes through this area, with the famous Col de Joux Plane nearby.
Access to Les Gets is easy either by car or via Geneva airport which is an hour by road. We can help with airport transfers as required
