We love Myn Tea! The 38 foot living dining and cooking space has perfect views out to sea with the Scilly Isles in the distance. For fully up to date calendars please check our site www.thecornishway.co.uk.
The gorgeous simple gardens will leave you with the dilemma of should you stay at home or should you go out and explore.
Above the surfing and dog friendly beach at Gwenver, Myn Tea is the perfect location for your holiday that's away from it all, yet close to the action whether you're looking for a romantic break or a family holiday.
Book early - Myn Tea's fans get ahead and book a long way in advance on The Cornish Way's website.
For a bigger group consider taking New Forge next door as well, or Tregiffian Barn and The Old Dairy are just across the courtyard.
Myn Tea was rebuilt in 2006 to provide an amazing self catering holiday home for a couple on a romantic break, or a fab family holiday for up to four lucky people.

The living space is upstairs. It's a fabulous 38 foot long room that leads out to the balcony that makes the most of those wonderful views of the coast and out to the Scilly Isles straight ahead, and down towards the Brisons on the side.
Tregiffian Barn was rebuilt in 2015 and offers even more space, good gardens and stunning views out to sea, and across the surrounding countryside.
Both have comfortable bedrooms with great beds. Tregiffian Barn includes an ensuite shower room off the master bedroom.
We know that cooking on holiday is one of the joys that is often foregone when we're working, so the kitchens are well equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm.
Beach holiday? Surfing holiday? Twitchers? Walkers? Cyclists? Or just looking for a place to read, kick back and relax. Myn Tea or Tregiffian Barn will be hard to beat.
The nearby Sennen Surfing Centre is renowned for its excellent tuition for budding wave riders of all ages.
If you're looking for the beach then the lovely Gwenver is just down the lane, when the tide is out the beach adjoins Sennen, both being great places for surf, and both with life guards in the holiday season.
Nanjizel is a longer walk, and Porthcurno, rated as one of the world's best beaches by the Sunday Times and Conde Nast, is just a short drive.
The rugged cliffs offer challenging walking on both the north and south coasts, with Lands End being within reach for most people, and a welcome drink can be had there.
Mousehole, Penzance and St Ives all have great galleries, restaurants, and their own charm. Penzance also has the famous Jubilee Pool lido, and the Cornish Pirates rugby club.
Cape Cornwall's golf course is right on the edge and only 5 miles away.
The UNESCO World Heritage Mining Sites of Levant and Geevor are a short drive anyway. At Geevor you can even go underground as part of the tour there.
Chysauster and Carn Euny are both ancient settlements with clear remains and only a little imagination required to recreate bronze age village life there in your mind.
Both cottages are hugely popular and many guests book their next stay as soon as they arrive - get in early to secure your holiday using our website www.thecornishway.co.uk
Kelvin was born up the road and when he first brought Amanda home to the far west she fell in love with the area.
In 2015 they moved to St Just, taking on an old wreck and working to create a comfortable home as well as head quarters for The Cornish Way.
Their aim is to provide holidays that fill you with joy - and the small selection of cottages they offer are sure to deliver.
Kelvin Collins purchased this barn in 1999
When we came to view Myn Tea it was a perfect evening, the sun setting across the sea and the Scillies clearly visible in the distance. We fell in love and broke the bank, but we have never regretted it.
Despite living in many great cities we have always hankered to come back to the far west, and in 2015 finally made the move to concentrate on offering great holiday locations for our lovely lucky guests.
Myn Tea and Tregiffian Barn have all the benefits of fantastic sea views and proximity to the beach, without having to put up with crowds of people. It's a pleasant walk, or short drive down to Sennen, but many people like to just chill out here and kick back for a week of joy, whatever the season or weather.
Often guests book longer stays to truly engage with their surroundings, or indeed work on projects. We have had writers, film makers, and IT developers all take longer winter stays, often working on their projects, while also learning or enjoying to surf.
We never thought it could be THAT nice at the Cornish coast during this time of the year, but it turned out to be very recovering. This was due to the fact that Myn Tea cottage is so warm and friendly and offers these stunning views on the Sennen bay - you enter the door and feel like coming home. The owner has done everything to make his guests feel comfortable, his individual taste and style makes Myn Tea extraordinary.
The surroundings are both wild and beautiful, you can walk in each direction and always find footpaths with great views, especially those at the Coastal Path. It was not the first time and won´t be the last time that we will stay in this cottage !
We fell in love with the property the moment we arrived. The stunning views out to sea from the upstairs open planned lounge were incredible! Our first night was spent sitting on the balcony drinking a glass of wine courtesy of Kelvin, the very helpful and thoughtful owner, and watching the magnificent sunset. The house felt like home with lots of lovely personal touches and great attention to detail. The bed was so comfortable and all the rooms are beautiful with very artistic touches. The situation of this cottage is perfect for leaving the car behind with stunning coastal walks straight from the door and equally good for surfing at Sennen. The whole cottage and gardens are beautifully designed, we genuinely did not want to leave .
We highly recommend this cottage , no-one would be disappointed!
Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday. We will be back for sure.
This was our second time staying at Myn Tea, the accommodation is perfect in our book which is very clean, well laid out and for us is perfetly located being very close to Sennen Cove with great walk on it's doorstep and beaches close by and the views are great. Myn Tea is very well equiped and furnished, plenty of welcoming touches around the place to make you feel so welcome and at home, Kelvin certainly knows how to look after his guests.
There are leaflets on what to do and a great selection of books & dvds. to choose from.
Kitchen is a pleasure to work with and Myn Tea offers great nights sleep... we will certainly be going back. Andy
Myn Tea is in a fabulous location; very close to the south west coast path with wonderful coastal scenery and beautiful beaches with views out over the Longships light house off Lands End and over to the Isles of Scilly. It took us nearly an hour to walk to Sennen Cove and its not an easy stroll (albeit it was dark!). The cottage itself is a great place to stay - loads of character (lovely design touches), very comfortable and well equipped. The open place living space on the first floor was especially appreciated. Access to Myn Tea is along a private road/track which deteriorates towards the end - many large pot holes which might cause cars with limited ground clearance to bottom out but the average car will be fine. We'll be back!
This property is nothing short of fabulous. Nothing had been left out & it really felt like a home from home with a stunning view out across the sea toward Longship lighthouse.
We hope to stay here again
This was our first break in Cornwall and our stay at Myn Tea made it perfect. The cottage itself was lovely-comfortable and spacious yet cosy, and felt like a home away from home with all the necessities required for the stay. The views from the balcony were stunning and I was surprised at how beautiful Gwenver beach, which is a short (however some steep stairs downhill) walk from the cottage, really was. The cottage was located in a peaceful rural area, but is just a short drive to some great places we wanted to visit such as the Minack Theatre, St Michael's Mount and St Ives, but also had scenic coastal paths on the doorstep. We would like to thank the owners who were very helpful and provided us with comprehensive facility and local area information which was really helpful in ensuring our stay went smoothly. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely be looking to visit again in the future.
Myn Tea is on the edge of Tregiffian, a small hamlet at the end of a mile long lane.
The uninterrupted view looks out across a couple of fields towards the Scilly Isles, and is perfect for enjoying some of the amazing sunsets we get over the sea.
The walk to the beach takes about ten minutes back down the lane, and Sennen with its pubs, cafes and restaurant is just a little further on.
The cliff path starts pretty much from the door step.
West Cornwall is a stunning region offering huge variety including beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs, secret coves and wild moor land. It's steeped in history, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and UNESCO World Heritage Site in recognition of the mining heritage.
It's attractive for the art colonies of St Ives, Newlyn, Penzance and Lamorna. Surfers flock to the havens of Gwenver and Sennen. Cyclists come for the challenge of the hills and the beauty of the roads. Twitchers come to spot our unusual feathered visitors. And the rest of us love the romance and ideal family holiday location.
