About this property

Bright and quiet apartment at Agadir

This bright and very quiet apartment is located in a commercial area, Ay Essalam, apart from the noise in a residential building on the 6th floor, with elevator. It overlooks the city in the distance, overlooking the old Agadir, in the bottom right and the Royal Palace at the bottom left. Excellent for relaxing. The facilities are a compromise between the Moroccan tradition and Western Europe. The beach, the casino, and nightclubs are within 2 km.

Nearby Attractions:
• Beaches and Tamraght Taghazout. A vast tourism project in the Bay of Taghazout, Taghazout-Argana Bay, was launched in 2007.
• Imouzzer Outanane of Ida, 60 km northeast
• The National Park of Souss-Massa and Oued Massa, about 70 km to the south and the fishing village of Tifnit.
• The city of Taroudant 80 km to the east, along the Souss
• The city of Tiznit 90 km south Tafraout, 80 km from Tiznit, in his magnificent site of pink granite rocks.
• The city of Essaouira, 175 km north of the coast. Ancient Mogador. To see!
Restaurants in Agadir in the city. And on the coast: ex: The Gold Coast (fish), near McDonalds.
From experience, never order a salad in any restaurant, at the risk of ending up with a good 'tourist' ... The salad: it's better at home!
However tap water is drinkable in Agadir, but chlorinated.
Medina Polizzi.
Following the earthquake in Agadir in 1960, much of the city was destroyed, and in particular its medina, a sign of Moroccan civilization. In 1970, Coco Polizzi, a master craftsman discovers the city. A few years later (in 1992) he decided to build a medina-like as possible to tradition.
The medina is located 10 km from the city center in a corner a little bit lost. To get there you can either take a taxi or take the shuttle which passes all hotels (it's handy!).
The medina is built on a plot of four acres. It consists of stones, earth and wood coming from the neighboring regions.
It is quickly charmed by such construction 'larger than life' with its mosaics (the tables are beautiful) stones, carved doors ...
The guided tour lasts about 30 minutes: it explains the architecture without it becoming boring. Then you can walk freely and do some shopping. We lost pleasure in small alleys where every corner lets discover traditional architecture. What surprises most is the quietness. We almost want to whisper to avoid disturbing. This peaceful atmosphere we would almost forget the various shops and craft workshops, present along the streets. But here, no one will approach you to buy something. You are free to watch, make your choice, it is appreciated! In addition, you can also ask questions about the manufacture of slippers, mosaic ... artisans will be happy to assist you. There is also a restaurant to cool or eat as well as an amphitheater. Medina goes even bigger with the project as the construction of cottages with an artificial lake, a steam (hammam)...
Admission only costs 40 Dh. (about 4 euros)
The entrance and shuttle to / cost Dh 60 and Dh 30 for children. (€ 6 and € 3).
