The house is a second home ,I have been visiting Antibes for 25 years and love the character and charm of the old town and it's ancient streets.The house has been refurbished to a high standard during the winter of 2014 .The house is a unique character property on the ramparts which is a listed ancient monument providing luxury accommodation with good natural light over 3 floors with sea views from three bedrooms .Each of the 3 air conditioned bedrooms are beautifully furnished with high quality mattresses and Egyption cotton bedding with high ceilings with exposed beams.The master suite at second floor is spacious and has its own seating area, separate TV/Sky with a child bed if required.The master suite has a new luxury en suite shower room with separate toilet.While the other 2 bedrooms at first floor are served by a new high quality bathroom with bath and shower.The property is accessed via a pretty private pathway rising above the cobbled pedestrianised street below, there are no pedestrians passing the house meaning the location is quiet and private.The house benefits from a completely refurbished open plan kitchen, dining and living area.The kitchen is new and well equiped with high quality range oven ,dishwasher ,fridge freezer, wine fridge and washer dryer which happily caters for the house guests.Guests have the option of eating at a breakfast bar or a dining table .There is a ground floor patio in front of the house but this is not private and one neighbour has access across it. The house is fully air conditioned throughout with new high quality units.

The house is very conveniently located only a minutes walk from the Old Town's Provencal Market , restaurants and shops.The house is perfectly located for a family beach holiday.

SPORTS; Antibes is renowned for it's sailing and yachting in Port Vauban and there are locations on the nearby Antibes beaches for diving and the hire of windsurfers, Kayaks and Catamarans.Water ski-ing and jet ski hire is also available at the nearby Garoup beach.

Golf is available inland on a number of courses including the Mougins Golf and Country Club.Tennis is also available at a number of nearby clubs.

Ski-ing is a 1.5 hour car journey into the Alps Maritime at Auron and Isola.

EVENTS; The annual Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix are both in May within 2 weeks of each other and Antibes is a great central point to enjoy these events.The famous Jazz a Juan is held in July in Juan les Pins and is the biggest Jazz festival outside of the US.Antibes enjoys it's annual sailing festival in June known as Voiles D'Antibes and becomes the home to some of the worlds most spectacular sailing yachts and clippers.In April Antibes houses the annual Antiques Festival which is one of the biggest in France and attracts enthusiasts from all over Europe.

LOCATION; The House is 20 minutes drive or taxi from Nice airport.The train station in Antibes is 10 minute walk and is a mainline SNCF station to Paris and other major cities but also gives regular access to nearby major centre's of Cannes, Nice and Monaco.Antibes has a large bus station 5 minutes walk away with cheep transport to all major centre's including Nice airport.

There is a large choice of beaches with Plage de Gravette and Plage Salis a 5 and 10 minute walk away.There are more exclusive private beaches with sun chairs available at Garoup beach on Cap D'Antibes and the Cap D'Antibes Beach Club in Juan Les Pins.

A special home in a special town

This beautiful home worked out perfectly for our family of 4 adults and 2 children. It was extremely comfortable and clean and had all the amenities we needed. The location was fantastic - so close to the amazing market, and a few minutes walk to the Picasso Museum and a five minute walk to a sandy beach. It was also an easy walk to the train station for day trips. Loved being in the old city - very magical.

Perfect weather, perfect location, amazing breakfasts

The Location of Mr. Kent´s property is truly perfect - the Sea is a Stone´s throw away and the views are what post Cards are made for. The exterior is amazing and the interior is very nicely renovated. The towels are thick and the bedding very nice. Tile floors throughout. There are dozens of wonderful bakeries in Antibes and gorgeous spots. My Young daughter was thrilled with the children´s books and all could find a good read at the property if they wished. The kitchen was nice and we used the washing machine daily. The combo washer-drier was truly only a washer. No clothes ever got dry even after repeated sessions in the drier. However, we were blessed with amazingly glorious weather, so we hung the clothes outside - which worked great for us. Our children were disappointed with the Speed of the WIFI. My only disappointment was that it took a Long time (ten full minutes!) for the water in the shower to get luke warm. The master bedroom is beyond great and the shower was lovely despite the lack of hot water. The full bath is very nice. The Little toilet on the top Floor is fine - but because the door is decorative and doesn´t Close at the top Corners, one must bite one´s lip when doing their Business because the Sound carries down all the stairs...we stayed with 4 of our children - our 3 Boys are all taller than 6 feet and we were all happy with the property. Mr Kent was very responsive and quick communicating. M. Arnault was responsive and efficient in Antibes. I would recommend the property highly to others.

Amazing location, really nice accommodation with the most comfortable beds I have ever stayed in on holiday. Really spacious and clean. Really helpful and friendly manager. Antibes is simply lovely- we will be back!

Magnifique!

I searched for homes to rent for MONTHS until I found this home. The owner, Daniel, is VERY responsive and helpful. We just returned to the US today and I miss this house!

We are a family of 5---4 large guys aging from 16-23 along with my husband and me. All the guys are 6'3" and up--so we needed space. This home fit the bill perfectly. We had plenty of room and facilities. I visited the market each day for fruit, baguettes, croissants etc...It is less than 100 steps from the door of the home. Even though our train arrived late, Svetlana met us at the door with a nice bottle of wine and some bananas--Merci beaucoup!! Due to our late arrival, we did take a taxi to the house from the SNCF station---it was about 25euros for the trip. Be sure to grab a map of town at the Tourist Office (across the street from the train station)--that helped us a lot as well.

The AC worked great--all appliances that we used were functional and well-kept. A HUGE thank you to the previous guest who left a beach umbrella and goggles for use! That was great. Previous guests must have left beach towels as well, which was nice since ours were too wet at times.

The Wifi connection was good as well.

Overall--we had a wonderful trip and would stay here again for sure!

Thank you to Daniel, Arnaud (realtor office/manager), Svetlana and Arnaud's dad who spoke with us once--their office is RIGHT around the corner if you have any questions..

This was our first Homeaway rental and it was an OUTSTANDING experience. I would not hesitate to use this home and Homeaway site again.

Beautiful apartment in beautiful location

Very impressed with this beautiful house on the ramparts in Antibes... house immaculately clean and well equipped to high standard with beautiful decor, but a very homely place with an understated touch of class! Ease of booking with any queries quickly responded by Mr Kent although we had no issues whilst there ! Central to the gorgeous beaches and market with lots of restaurants to choose from. Can't wait for our next visit!!highly recommended!

The house is in the prefect location on the Cote D'Azur only a 20 minute drive to Nice airport and a short trip to Cannes and it's shopping along the Croisette and renowned Film Festival.The House occupies a fantastic location directly on the ancient ramparts of the Old town of Antibes with views across the sea to the Cap D'Antibes.The House is in a unique south facing position on the ramparts being set back on a quiet , pedestrianised street with it's elevated and prominent position giving it the benefit of excellent sunlight .The house is less than a minutes walk from the bustling Antibes provencal market and night market which opens daily and a wide choice of restaurants and cafe's are in very close vicinity.The world famous Picasso museum housed in the Chateau Grimaldi is just one street away by foot and Place National is home to the Musee Peynet.Antibes is also famous for it's Port Vauban the true centre for mediterranean yachting which makes this an all year round destination.The port is a 3 minute walk from the house.Close to the port is the imposing mass of the 16th Century Forte Carre visitor attraction where Napoleon was imprisoned.The house is 300 metres to Antibes sandy beaches.Alternatively there are a number of pretty 'perched' villages a short car ride inland such as St Paul de Vence and Mougins with their numerous restaurants and galleries.Monaco and the Italian border is a short train ride from Antibes station and is therefore very accessible for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.In winter both Alps Maritime ski resorts of Isola and Auron are approximately 1.5 hours drive from Antibes making ski-ing accessible.

A 50% deposit will be taken to confirm the booking the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Rental rate is inclusive of cleaning , electricity and WIFI.
Check in time 4pm on day or arrival.
For early arrivals our house manager can hold bags until the house is cleaned and prepared.
Check out 10.30am on day of departure.
