Have a day out on the spectacular Jurassic Coast, enjoying magnificent clifftop views from the South Coast path and take in Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, or evocative Tyneham village. For family fun, hop on the Swanage Steam Line and visit Corfe Castle, or head to Monkey World, the Bovington Tank Museum or the Dinosaur museum in Dorchester. Just 7 miles away is Weymouth with its glorious sandy beaches, Georgian seafront, old harbour and traditional entertainment. Heading west on one of Britain’s most beautiful roads will take you through Abbotsbury, with the Swannery and Subtropical Gardens, to lovely Bridport and West Bay. Sandy beaches at Weymouth, 7 miles. A week of the most perfect weather for exploring the area. Great cottage with lovely garden. Appreciated the loungers to lie in the shade of the apple tree after a day’s walking. Really nicely furnished and comfortable bed. Downstairs bathroom not so good for the elderly with steep stairs. Garden could be more dog secure. Excellent.

We spent a wonderful, relaxing week in this beautiful, atmospheric cottage. The cottage itself is spacious, the garden is a gem (we had breakfast outside every day) and the location is perfect. It's rural enough to be very peaceful, but a stroll of a couple of miles along a very picturesque path takes you into Dorchester, with its restaurants and amenities. A tip for any visitors - the top-notch 'Yalbury Cottage' restaurant is about 50 yards along the road. It's well worth booking in advance of any holiday, as you'd be very fortunate to be able to secure a table at short notice. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The cottage was as advertised in a quiet village with no local amenities, although we didn't feel that we were far from various places to eat and Dorchester. We loved everything about it.
