The North Captiva Fish Camp is located on the peninsula of the island nestled between Safety Harbor and Pine Island Sound. It is accessible by private boat or commercial charter from Pineland marina. It was built around 1900 and has been owned and cherished by the Kinsey Family since 1962. It survived four major hurricanes and numerous tropical storms. Surrounded by white, shell beaches this house has its own private deep-water dock that's steps away from the front door, perfect for large boats and fishing in safety harbor. A cozy get-away designed for two to four people, it features full kitchen, remodeled bath, air conditioning throughout and two wide porches with rocking chairs that look over the beach. There simply is nothing else like it.

A. No, we do not have WIFI at either house. I use my personal hotspot when I’m out there if I need to get onto my computer. Yes, you get cell reception on the island.
Q. IS THERE A GROCERY STORE ON THE ISLAND?
A. No. There is however, a small island “general store” called Mango’s. It is great for the “forgotten item” but not to be used as a full grocery store. We strongly encourage you to bring your own groceries (packed in plastic bags) and water. There are grocery stores on Pine Island Road, which is en route to Pineland Marina: (Publix, Walmart & Target).
Q. ARE THERE ANY RESTAURANTS ON THE ISLAND?
A. Yes. Barnacles is open for lunch and dinner, serving good island fare plus beer and wine. Mango’s has a pool side bar serving limited bar menu plus drinks. If you feel like exploring, there are waterfront restaurants on nearby islands, accessible by boat.
Q. IS THE WATER ON THE POINT SAFE?
A. Yes. However, it is chlorinated well water. We suggest bottled water for drinking, and tap water for cooking and bathing. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND YOU WILL BE STAYING ON A BARRIER ISLAND.
