We (Dan and Colleen) have two daughters and one son who grew up in McLean, Virginia. Although we have many ties (friends, house) to the McLean area, we officially moved to the Eastern Shore and happily celebrated our oldest daughter’s wedding and, two years later welcomed our first grandchild.
Why they chose this property
Beginning in the mid-90’s, we spent our summer vacations in this area – and loved it. We always rented an oceanfront house so our family and friends could have easy access and enjoy the beach - a place to create wonderful memories with our loved ones. Finally, in 2004, we found the oceanfront beach house we wanted to purchase - a dream come true and keeper for life. We named our beach home, DElight and time has proven the name to be so unbelievably apropos. DElight provides a spectacular view of the ocean and beach, morning, noon and night, as well as, spacious rooms providing privacy and creating an environment to bring family and friends together for wonderful memories.
What makes this property unique
DElight and the Town of Fenwick Island is a very special place for families and friends to gather for a relaxing vacation. DElight is six houses south of the Fenwick Island State Park where the beach is wide and spacious. Our oceanfront beach is not crowded, even during the summer season, so you will never have to search for an open space to enjoy your beach day. Our beautiful sandy beach is guarded and seconds from our house with a beach pathway easily accessed from DElight’s side gate. If you need more activities and/or places to go and see, they are located 5 minutes south and 10 minutes north!
We have been renting out our beach house since 2005 and many of our families have been returning for years. As the saying goes, "proof is in the pudding” so we would be very happy to provide references and input from our past and present families. In the meantime, please see below….
“My family and I cannot say enough good things about “DElight”! The rooms are large and spacious. The 2 master suites are beautiful! The kitchen, dining areas and living room are so nice for a large group. I have rented many houses in the past and your home exceeded my wishes! You have absolutely everything in your kitchen to help with meal preparation! The town of Fenwick Island is so warm and welcoming. We loved it! The View is outstanding. It is obvious that you love your home and keep it perfect.”
“We had the best time this past summer—we were able to celebrate my mom’s 70th and my dad’s 80th with friends and family from near and far. Had a nice party at a restaurant in Bethany and enjoyed the house and the beach more than ever!”
