Delightful, comfortable and every window was a gorgeous view.

  • 5 of 5

A clean house, comfortable stay with my husband and 2 friends. All kitchen convinces, even a wine fridge, to eat in but with the wharf steps away it was fun to explore the restaurants and bars.

Highly recommend this rental for being by the water, loving sunsets and sunrises and just relaxing.

Having more comfortable outdoor chairs for upper deck would be the only improvement.

Charming, spacious, different.

  • 4 of 5

This was a really neat little gem. Pretty spacious for our group of 5. We only planned to be in the city a few times during that stay and also recommend Uber or the ferry if the schedule works. In fact, the ferry was great! Not just a mode of transportation but relaxing and with a scenic view. The boardwalk restaurants are a really convenient food options including the two little sandwhich shops. We actually grilled and used picnic area a few times as well (really convenient). But with a full kitchen, you can be cooking for yourself nightly if you prefer.

If you're looking to be in the city often, just be prepared driving around Boston in general is quite confusing. Otherwise, a nice location and within 25-30 drive to where we wanted to be. After a bad recent review, I was nervous, but found we had no issues. We had 5-6 in the house for 7 days! There santitation system was serviced twice in that time...we were cautious as recommended but not over the top. The boat owner laundry was super close and convenient, I ended up throwing stuff in the wash even though I never intended to. Also, marina bathrooms are pretty close if you're nervous about the 'tank' system, which btw does not limit use of any water in the unit (only flushing could be limited). We didn't feel restricted or watched at all. We were there over a holiday week so we watched plenty of boats coming in and out, met some lovely people especially dogs (we LOVE!). And had a great view of fireworks all over the area on the 4th.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Very attentive manager, Kimberly. Could not ask for a better vacation home on the water. Would stay again and recommend to all. They also have a beautiful property in Florida to consider,

NOT WORTH IT! STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

  • 1 of 5

Not very picturesque, when we arrived there was a tremendous amount of garbage in the water at the marina. I'm pretty sure boat owners were complaining of it as well but Marina staff seemed to care less. They changed the number of guests after our stay which is probably a good thing because they claim the tanks for the toilets can only support a few people for a weekend so be mindful of your flushes. They will have a response to this statement trust me it will be a problem. We had a few extra guests one night which in their defense they do state not to do but we thought it was overnight guests but they watched us through cameras and sent a txt in the morning saying we had to many on the boat to support the tank system even though those guests did not use the bathroom. Noticed a terrible smell coming from the central air system sent a txt when we were leaving because it didn't effect us to much bc we were out of the house so much, told the property manger about it she responded by and I quote "we used reckless judgement" by having extra guests and the smell was a result from the tanks. We had only been there for about 24 hours and barley used the bathrooms at the point the smell started so not sure how that happened. When I explained that it was the central air and not the tanks property manger said they would send a maintenance team to check it out never heard what the issue was which I thought was interesting. In my opinion it was a dead mouse somewhere in the vents it has very distinct smell. I'm sure they will respond with some BS answer. As for the house it was ok. Although they were supposed to have a pull out couch but thought it would be cool if they got rid of it. They did say they would supply air mattress granted this communication came a few days before our arrival. I'm pretty laid back so I said no worries I have an air mattress even though I wasn't thrilled about it. Location is not ideal if you want to do things in downtown Boston. Locals recommended easiest way was UBER which was easy but expensive and about 25 minutes into Boston. I just think for the price you could get a nicer place, less restrictions, and not be under video surveillance . Im sure they will respond with some non sense about the tanks capacity and how they are clear about it or suggest we used "reckless judgement" which trust me we didn't ( we barley flushed bc we were mindful of it)It's just not worth it. Put your money somewhere else and have a good time

Owner's Response: Sorry that you did not enjoy you stay. Based on past guests reviews your issues are NOT the norm. We did change the number of guests we can accommodate from 6 to 5 when we upgraded furniture for new season. When you were contacted prior to stay you were offered a refund as well due to the upgrade. We are very clear about allowed number of guests due to marina restrictions. The tanks can certainly accommodate (6) people for the weekend. We schedule maintenance needed according to length of stay. However we were notified of noise complaints and guests in excess of 12 people on the vessel. This was clearly a violation. Had you notified us of an odor issue when it occurred we would have resolved immediately. As we were not notified of complaint until you were checking out we did not see the need to report. If we were going to contact you it would have been to address additionally cleaning needed as property was left in deplorable condition and would have then confirmed an overflow of tanks . The property is not under surveillance. We of course have security cameras for the safety of our guests. However they are OUTSIDE we do not have video surveillance inside the property! Again sorry you did not feel the rental was worth the money, we feel that it has proven to be a unique and comfortable family vacation.

Such a unique and fun addition to our trip!

Had a great time. Kimberley was very responsive and worked to fix the minor issues that came up. Easy to find, easy access to restaurants and night life, but quiet and calm as well. Slept like a baby. Great views. I would stay here again!

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our stay so much! The HouseBoat had everything you could ask for and more! The furnishings, amenities and the beautiful views of the Boston Skyline and surrounding harbor islands was fabulous. We enjoyed the restaurants along the Marina Bay Boardwalk and the short walk back to our "Home Away"! Thank You so much. It truly is the best unique Vacation!
